If I recall correctly in Tow Haul it uses 1 thru 7 gears. In "normal" mode it uses 2 thru 8. All sorts of sensor inputs determine the correct gear. No sense the driver second guessing.
The specs that I can find don't seem to differentiate between 4x and RWD in terms of tailgate height. However when I bought my 2021 there was a diffference. Thought I would try to find some real world numbers.
My 2021 is a rear wheel drive. I heard newer trucks were a bit lower allowing me to order a 4X .. I have an older fifth wheel which is already nose high when towed. So using tail gate height as a common measurement. I would prefer to order a four-wheel-drive, but not if it is significantly...

According to the manual the power pack comes with a cigarette lighter cable as a charging option. Highly unlikely that the power pack would draw 33 amps. Must be some circuitry in the device that limits the amount of draw if using cigarette lighter cable to charge.
I doubt that you can modify the OEM inverter to meet the requirements of your power pack. Your Generac is just drawing too much, even if by a little bit. I would suggest using the "car charger" (I checked the owner manual) cable and extending it to an appropriate DC source. More efficient...
