Have about 5 friends who tow similar 5th wheels to mine who own one and love it. However, their love is about 99% centered on "It's SO light and we can remove it from the bed easily". I guess that's ok, but that's not why I bought a hitch. My Hensley BD5D is very heavy. And very sturdy and...
In every RV website I've even been on, this continues to come up. I am not going to say I know the requirements for each state. But while most states, including mine, state a CDL is required for towing 26,001 total pounds, RV users who are Not-For-Profit and Non-Commercial are exempt from...

There are dozens of such articles. I would also think it COULD be argued, if you nitpick enough (LOL), that adding any weight to your...
OK. I know nothing about 'coaches'. Let me ask another way. Does adding air bags (air shocks) to a towing vehicle, a pickup truck, increase the payload of that vehicle in any way, deployed or not????
Every single research I can find says that air bags do NOT add to the Payload. That was my point. There is no towing spec that changes with air bags. I've been wrong before, often, but I don't think I am here.
LOL. If arguing over semantics is our biggest issue, we're fine.
But my answer would be.......just because someone wrote a manual and gave a name to an actual phenomenon, that doesn't make that guy's name the 'bestest and onliest' one. Does anyone use CCC or Cargo Carrying Capacity? Yes...
Old eyes, even older memory. I did add some last winter after towing to Florida. I was just afraid there was an analog and a digital readout for same thing and that they were out of synch, and worse, I was out of DEF. The GMC went into Limp Mode when fluids went to zero or other...
Well, you're right, and I'm even more embarrassed. Old eyes, I guess. Yes, I saw DPF and thought it said DEF. So, the analog gauge below the cluster shows above half, so I'm sure it's ok. *sigh*
The Boost Pressure is on the VEHICLE INFO on the display above steering column. Item # 2 or # 3...
I continue to believe they are one and the same thing for pickup truck tow vehicles. Many articles I find back that up. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

I've seen this argument before. But it seems silly to argue semantics. Yes, many people call PAYLOAD by its other name CARGO CARRYING CAPACITY.

But the Cat Scale APP is great.
I would suggest (from experience) that you actually measure your pin weight first. Lots of Google places to find out how to do the 2 step process. My pin weight is very large, and a long way from any published spec. I know lots of people that tow big 5th wheels with a SRW and laugh at the...
I'm a bit embarrassed to post this. But I cannot find the answer in manual or Google. I am not a gear head. I have this truck to pull my 5th wheel, and occasionally my boat to go fishing. Had a GMC first (everything on it failed, lol) and now the 2023 Ram 3500 2WD HO/Aisin. That said, it...
