Some additional info I've learned about ECM replacement on 2022 - 24 Cummins 6.7 trucks.
EZ-LYNK Auto Agent 3.0 has an option in their "Functions" menu called "Replace and Reprogram"
This allows you to copy files from your original ECM before installing the new ECM and then transferring those...
I'm thinking of replacing my 2022 ECM with the unlocked replacement originally installed on a 2019-21 truck.
FCA p/n 68363277AA is what I plan on purchasing. They show this as being compatible with 2019 - 2022 Cummins 6.7 trucks.
Dirty Diesel in CA offers a Unlock Service, I would have to send...
A few months ago I found someone on FB Marketplace that was offering tuning services on 2022+ Cummins trucks with locked ECMs.
We exchanged a few messages and the guy said there is no need to remove or replace the ECM, just bring the truck to his shop.
I forgot his username and didn't save the...
I've owned lots of pickup trucks since my first in 83, both 4WD and 2WD.
I prefer 2WD for what I do, I believe it is the better option 99.9% of the time. But that's just me.
I haven't posted here for a while, been super busy moving cross country and setting up our new house and land.
Ended up going the southern route and made a total of 4 round trips pulling a slightly overloaded 28' trailer. 12k miles total.
The roads weren't bad, weather was good except for...
I'll be using my truck to haul supplies (pulling a 10k lbs trailer) up dirt roads and need a bit more traction.
I have two extra 18" OEM wheels and am thinking of mounting a pair of off-road tires similar to the Cooper STT Pro on the rear only.
Would appreciate any insight on possible handling...
Thanks for all the replies.
Yesterday I stopped for fuel at a Love's and spoke to the trucker on the next lane, he also said I-40 is rough and recommended I-10.
I plan on making the first overnight stop in Tucson, second stop in Van Horn and arrive in Weatherford on the third day.
About eight...
Planning on a road trip from LA to just west of Ft Worth next month, towing a 15k 5th wheel.
I believe the I-10 to I-20 is the most direct and flattest route. But I'm tempted to go I-40 to 84 and I-20 instead.
The Northern route should be more scenic, but more hills to climb and about 30 miles...
I checked uhaul, they don't have anything even close to that size.
I plan on using it as long as I need, and then sell it.
Even if I can recoup 80% of what I paid, still cheaper than renting. And I can take my time with the move.
I'm looking for either a 36' gooseneck or a 28' bumper pull. Two 7k axles or three 5k axles would do it for the payload.
Prices are high but lower than six months ago.
Just got a quote for a 30' triple axle BP for $16.5k +tx.
We're moving 900 miles away and with all my stuff, it will require...
I need that trailer!
We're moving out of state this Summer and need to find like that to haul away all our stuff.
What is the length and GVWR on that trailer?
