Whatever you do, please, please do not just stop paying on your vehicle. You will be the only looser. The truck working, or not working has nothing to do with the lender. There are way to many other options to consider without putting yourself into a pad position.
I believe you just quoted my last few posts almost exactly! Yes Sir, Ram customer service sucks, until they are beat over the head. Then they respond with a cigarette and a "where do you want the smoke blown" [mod edit: Inappropriate Language Removed]
.. I sent a demand letter to Ram return...
It doesn't matter which dealership you go to in my opinion, because there are so many lazy people these days that the incompetence, and don't give a ****-please do my job for me attitude is going to happen almost everywhere! I had worse surging problems in colorado at higher elevations. I can...
First, is CEL P0204 a ECM problem, or electrical issue with the injector? Not sure. My 2019 ram 3500 cummins/aisin shifts, surges, hesitates, loss in power, and loss in MPG. All as soon as the dealer did the VB6 recall. You are not the only one. Ram says no fix at this time... SMH
Yes, I had the VB6, and the so called fix, and a relearn. Nothing is fixed on my truck. the symptoms are less at sea level, or Texas level. It still shifts funny, and hesitates, suggest slightly. I don't have the ability to find out if the elevation will still affect it. The fuel mileage is...
My transmission temps, MPG, shifting, general operation was great before the VB6 recall! Now...The trans temp is still great, the operation, and function, are ridiculous.
After a recall supposed fix... lower mpg, not a surprise! You have the 850 ft/lbs torque.. standard cummins, not the Aisin trans. Not the same recall to my knowledge, but serious issues non the less.
Well One week after dropping the truck off at the Dealer Still no word from the Ram Cares rep. The dealer can't even get ahold of the Rep. I have been without a vehicle for another week. I think its time for an attorney!
UPDATE!! (Fourth trip to the dealer for this issue, and about the tenth overall for other issues) Well I Just received a call from the dealer Ram says a9 "there is no fix at this time... and unfortunately when there are updates done, it does affect fuel mileage")
UUUHHH. SOOO...
I personally can't say what to do, but what I have noticed. (Before) the VB6 recall update, no issues that I can recall.
(After) the VB6 recall FIX, surging, strange shifting, loss of...
They are not, as per a couple of mechanics that I have talked to. Like I said, they sell the trucks to us in one condition, then change them to fit supposed regulations, then oops something went wrong, and we have to accept it! Unfortunately there is also the lingering unrealized issues, or...
There is a supposed fix, but it didn't fix mine. It only changed the issues from horrible surging, to (at basically sea level- Granbury Texas ) weird shifting, slight surging, hesitating, power loss, MPG loss! Now I am getting 14.3 empty.
HMM... Sounds familiar... I got the same results... was offered 59-61,000 for my New truck which I spent a ton of money on, along with almost 10,000 in add ons that won't fit another truck!
Took it back a second time a week after the dealer said there wasn't a fix, and now there is a possible...
