Got some kayaking and geocaching in this weekend. We even combined the 2.

Got to enjoy a beautiful fall weekend and did some hiking also.

Got to see a blue Herring take flight also.

The 8 foot bed allowed us to haul the kayaks and tow the camper.

8 foot bed so much better for our needs than the short bed. I do not know how the 1500 guys with a 5'7 bed can even sleep at night lol

Lol, we manage. Wish I had a pic, but imagine a kayak roof rack.... that's how 5'7ers do

Of the trucks I've owned I've never had a long bed. Although there have been a few times a long bed would have helped, I think I'm much better off with the short beds. My only regret is not having tried out the mega cab.

I hope you got it was sarcasm. Yes a roof rack would surely work...but then that makes the overhead clearance less. I also can not use a ladder rack as I have a bed cover to keep the wood dry. And with a 5'7 bed I couldn't get the bikes and wood in the bed under the cover with a tool box.

This is what I really want, but so far haven't needed

Mega Cab long bed.

And I am sure 5'7 bed guys sleep better st night since they fit in the garage:cool:

Yea I got the sarcasm. I really only used my rack with the kayaks when I had my 5th wheel. To this day I am still going to try my hardest to not get another one. Not because I didn't like them, I just always missed having my bed for space

So we went on a crazy steep hike at the Kinzua Sky Walk.

Definitely made me realize it has been a long time since I went on a substantial hump with a rucksack.

been getting alot of hiking in.

Found a nice trail system just across the hill from me.

Been out as much as I can to clear the mind and enjoy freedom.

The one trail, Dawn Trail loops up to the top of the mountain and back down to the creek bed.

I didnt pay much attention to the name at first.

Then I noticed tucked off to the side of the trail Dawn Point.

Got the compass out to verify my thought and noticed the V of the 2 mountains in view.

Awesome place to watch the sunrise.20200419_091902.jpg20200419_092120.jpg

Yeah it should be the rear overlapping the front. What I figure is the front paw area is larger than my hand curled to resemble the mark. I wish I had got a pic of the dog print that was buy it. I saw the dog the other day...good size dog...its print would fit in the pad area behind the toe prints and almost a second.
