A couple years ago I purchased a jeep Comanche (I know not a dodge but bare with me)...it has been one ton swapped with a front Dana 60 from a 92 dodge w350 (non dually). I'm getting around to doing some maintenance and one of the things I need some help on is the front u bolt setup. The PO used leafs in what appears to be the stock location but I've not seen a leaf spring setup like this before.
Can anyone tell me if this how it's supposed to be on the diff side? One u bolt and two studs (bolts) that go into the diff housing itself?
This is kind of throwing me for a loop.
Thank you

Yeah you're telling me. I'm slowly going in and fixing things. Like the weird trac bar mount next to the u bolt plates lol
I’m not completely familiar with that axle setup but I’d imagine where the trac bar is currently located is where the spring perch used to live.

That looks right if memory serves it was always like that and google images confirms it. The left perch was cast in to the pumpkin and used 2 bolts and a u-bolt thats original

The trac bar is custom but not needed as they never had a trac bar on the leaf sprung trucks

Jeep Comanche? Those are not leaf spring front. Those are 4(5) link front like an XJ. They’re also driver side drop.

That’s a bubba job if I’ve ever seen one.

Yep thats a poor mans one ton swap! And the switch from a drivers drop to a passenger drop is an odd move
