Gear Swap

Hello all my likeminded colleagues,

Has anyone swapped their 3.73 gears for 4.10 gears for the 2500 yet? Going in tomorrow morning to have a price quote done at the dealership to do the swap but was just curious.

you're doing the right thing for your transmission. it's not all about rpm improvement. actually it's not really about that at all.

any reason your having the dealer do it? regear usually runs under $2k all in, at a reputable shop. not sure what a dealer would charge, but guessing north of the $2k range.

Back in the day a 33" tall tire were tall. (height of stock tires) Honestly, before I regeared I'd just go back to stock tires after the 37's wear out. I can think of zero benefits of running 37's.
