New owner Of 2023 Ram 3500 diesel dually and have been reading articles about the exhaust break. I always thought that the only time to use the exhaust was when you were towing. Some say that you should have it on all the time towing or not. Looking for any thoughts.
thanks

Good for the turbo and good for the brakes. While not built into the turbo I used my exhaust brake on my 2003 HO dually all the time. Got 80K miles out of the original brakes. A lot of that towing. The EB on my 2021 is way stronger than the 2003. Really slows down my heavy fifth wheel in T/H.

Once you get in the habit of turning it on when you start up, it is no big deal.

Yeah its pretty much a routine for me. Been doing it for 10 years on all my work trucks and now on my personal truck.
Fire truck up and push exhaust brake and turn off traction control every time.
