Has anyone found a fix for the regen problem? It has come on 7 times in less than 7 days. Check engine light comes on at the same time. Dealer is just tying anything to fix it.

Is your truck a 2022?

There are a multitude of different things that can cause a regeneration frequency problem. Since your truck is a 2023 I would take it back to the dealer and have them document it. Is your Malfunction indicator light on? Are you getting the P2459 DTC?

OP stated his engine light comes on every time it regens, fairly certain his code would be P2459.

OP, this seems to be a common issue on the 22 and 23 Ram diesels. The techs really have no idea how to address it except to throw in random parts hoping it cures the problem. On the flip side Ram engineering needs to get involved and figure it out, countless people here are having same issue. It honestly sounds like a programming issue and hopefully they issue a TSB soon to address your problem.

Definitely very common amongst 2022’s and now seeing a lot of 2023’s complaining of this as well. Talked to a very experienced ram tech who works exclusively on the diesels. He said he noticed the 2022’s seem to have a higher empty estimated soot load than what previous model years did. Not sure if ram changed suppliers for the DPF for 2022 and up ?

The problem with P2459 is that there is a long list of things that can cause the frequency of regenerations to occur, beyond just what they list in the diagnostic manual. IMG_3231.jpeg
