Hey guys, dumb question. I’m swapping in a new battery on my wife’s car. I want to preserve the settings in the car. Everyone seems to use these special tools for the job that plug into the OBD or the cigarette lighter. I was thinking I could just run some jumper cables from another car to the clamps that connect to the battery of the car I am taking the battery out of, that should do the job right? Or am I missing something?
