Hi I’m new to the community and was hoping to get some help. I have a 2016 6.7 3500 134,000 miles Recently at start up it has a horrible noise coming out of the exhaust. It stops once it is driven and doesn’t do it the remainder of the day. Any help world be appreciated. I’m not sure how to upload a video.

We certainly understand why this would be concerning. If you are not able to determine a solution based on suggestions from fellow forum members and you decide to address this with your Ram dealer, please be sure to follow up with us via private message. We would be more than willing to escalate your situation to a specialist who can work alongside you and your dealer while your truck is in service.

If it sounds like a hair dryer or jet turbine its just the truck warming up with the exhaust brake on to give it some load.

Probably this if the weather has gotten colder. The exhaust brake is engaging for warmup.

That said, for a 2016 to just start this behavior could be having actuator issues.

P.S. Since it's a 2016, moved to the correct forum.
