Looking at 3500 Megacab 4wd SRW 6.7 diesel ve 6.7 HO diesel specs. I see both the base 6.7 and the 6.7 HO GVWR is 12300 lb, but the Payload is 4300 for base vs 4140 for HO - I assume that is the additional weight of heavier transmission on the HO Then I look at GCWR (3.73 axle) and base is 28300 lb (tow rated 19830 lb) while the HO is GCWR (again 3.73) is 32710 (tow rated 24000 lb). I understand the higher GCWR is associated with the additional horsepower / torque, BUT IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE DIFFERENT ON THE HO - springs, BRAKES come to mind as the higher GCWR would presumably require better braking?
Thanks, Ed

No The HO really only gets you the aisin trans they both have similar springs and the same brakes they both would be equipped with the 12” rear axle too

OK - thanks - One more question - this time relative to 2500 vs 3500 / 3500 HO - I know rear springs totally different on the 2500s, but it appears both 2500 and 3500 have a 6000 pound rated front axle - so are the front axle / brake setups the same for 6.7 HO, 3500 6.7 base, 2500, and maybe even the gassers?

The HO/Aisin has a larger Transfer case.

The 12" axle is available only on 3500 SRW HO or Dually trucks. The 3500 SO has the 11.5" rear.

The Max Tow Dually has slightly larger rear brake rotors. 365mm vs 360mm as I recall. All SRW have the same brakes.

Do they make a 7k rated 11.5”? My neighbors 3500 srw hemi has 7k rear rating we just assumed it was because of the 12” rear
