I was playing around building a new 2024 3500 Big Horn Hemi 4x4 long bed and was surprised that a 50 gallon gas tank was an option. Is this for real or a mistake on their website?

Having the 50 gallon tank was the best option I ever bought. You must get the 8' bed.
Compared to the tank in my 2003 dually, the 50 gallon tank in my 2021 is a god send. Hurts at the pump but I can get a whole day of towing without fuelling stops.

Yep, increased my range by more than 50%.

I got one in 2020 in mine, highly recommend it. Just allowed me to run 1000 miles with one fuel stop on the way.

Agreed. Stupid they don’t have a larger tank other than 31 gallon for an HD truck. The 1500 had an option for 33 gallon
Yeah, as it is I feel I get the same range as my 1500 (w the regular tank) because it was better on gas. Not that big of a deal around town, but would be nice for towing...I haven't seen any aftermarket either. All for diesel or long beds...

I can go 450 miles pulling my 22K fifth wheel and still have a comfortable reserve left. And you couldn't beat the price. Even though I doubt the Chrysler only paid a few dollars more for the larger tanks, it was way cheaper than adding or replacing the standard tank. 250 Canadian when I ordered.
