As the title says, 2020 3500. Factory prepped for the aux trailer cameras.
I REALLY want to use this feature, but for the last three years, I’ve been reading about how ****ty the image quality is on the Mopar camera kit.
So I guess I’m hoping someone has come up with a solution.
I assume the plug is still unavailable to build my own trailer harness?
So that leaves me with getting a kit, just for the connector?
Seems RG6 is the preferred cable to use; how have people handled running two cameras? Use a segment of the factory trailer harness to get into the trailer, then branch off with the RG6? My trailer is 40’, so even if I wanted to use the factory trailer harness, I would come up short.
In terms of camera options- does anyone know of particular models of cameras that will work with the system? Sounds like the camera itself is at least half the problem. I need to put one on the back of the trailer, and mount one inside, in the cargo area.
Really wish I had the UConnect5 trailer surround ability!
