    Grid Heater Bolt Failure

Breather is OK it just sits there, if and when it starts seeping oil, I'll deal with it, just didn't want all that crap going into my turbo. I'll be changing out the filter when it's time to do so, they're fairly cheap and last a while.

    Grid Heater Bolt Failure

I installed the BD kit on my 2015 (pics), yet to do it on my 2019 (have kit for it too sitting and waiting). Nut on 2015 looked intact but the price of the kit was worth the piece of mind so I don't need to worry about it ever again. While at it I cleaned out all the intake soot and removed a...

BD vs PPE deep transmission pan for 68RFE

No this is for my 2500 truck. I did tranny fluid change on my 3500 (AISIN) it was a clean job.

    Transmission issue

Not only that, with the oil pump off (when engine is off) it will read wrong. Dipstick should have cold and hot marks on it, so read accordingly.

    Transmission issue

Wrong, it should be running to show the correct transmission fluid level.

BD vs PPE deep transmission pan for 68RFE

Ordered this (plus the same thread aluminium magnetic plug with copper crush washers): https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07F32TMKY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title Looking at it, it would be pretty flush with the bottom of the pan, if there's a little oil left in there it's nowhere near as bad as...

That's genius, why I didn't think of it. Will do just that!

BD vs PPE deep transmission pan for 68RFE

Not towing anything with this truck, trans temps are always in good range so not interested in any added benefits from extra fluid they hold (BD holds 1qt more than PPE) only want one for the ease of draining fluid. Both are about the same price (with BD currently is on sale with 10% off) so...

    Univen TIRE wear. Picture

2019 RAM 3500. Front driver's side wearing out faster on the outside as per the picture I took. Am I looking into some potential issues with the ball joints or anything else? I just did my tires rotation and everything seems tight in the front. Tires been rotated every now and then, usually by...

5th wheel / Gooseneck and RamBox

Not sure about later years, but when I ordered my 2019 Limited, there was an option to delete RAM boxes which I selected. I also selected 5er/GN prep package which got missed somehow but RAM paid for it later to get it installed.

Installing BD Grid Heater Upgrade Kit. Need help with an electrical plug.

I'm in the middle of installing the BD Grid Heater Upgrade Kit. Stuck on disconnecting the electrical plug from the sensor. Pushing the white tab and pulling / wiggling the plug doesn't work and I don't want to force and break it. Do I need to do anything about the little red tab before I push -...

Truck shopping; '24 or wait for '25

If waiting is an option, wait 6-12 months to see if any issues with a new 25 truck come up. Too many changes in a new 25, can't be a good thing, don't be their lab rat.

    Idling during lunch break?

Big rigs still idle all day long up North during winter times, I work oilfield in Alberta and I see it all the time. Yes the starting is still an issue when it's -30C to -50C, good luck to anyone starting their truck if they think otherwise.
