Thanks a lot, Flan! I will give this a try. One battery is brand new, the other about 10 years old. This is my son's truck and I'll try your suggestion this afternoon and let you know - if that is ok.

I have a 2006 2500 ram Diesel. The biggest problems is that it will not start. When I pout the ignition in the “on” position there is a ticking sound coming from near the battery. And I readily admit I may be way out of my league here :).
