    2025 Ram HD

I'm not 100% sure but I believe you have to have your foot on the brake in order to shift with the dial so hopefully that prevents blowing up a trans. The thing I did not like with the dial is that you cannot drive forward or reverse with the driver door open, so many times I do that in my...

    Def-see dealer-limp mode 2020 Ram 3500

From what I understand on how it works is it wont actually go into de-rate unless you turn off the engine, it will just keep flashing at you. Someone with more knowledge or experience can either confirm or deny this please.

Cummins caught emissions cheating - fined 1.67 billion mega thread.

Where did you see Calibrated power got hit by the EPA, I thought they only sell emissions compliant tuning?

High Output (AISIN) vs Standard (68rfe)

I have the SO and have a mild tune from Calibrated power, never really found that I needed more power. If you are worried about range on your truck you can always replace the 31 Gallon tank with a S&B or Titan 52 Gallon tank. I put a Titan 50 gallon in my Megacab and absolutely love the range...

    2020 2500 Cummins-Engine Stumbles

Mine does this sometimes when it is cold driving in a 35MPH zone, to fix it I manually shift it down to keep the RPMS up near 1700-1800. I think it has something to do with TC lockup/unlocking due to the Trans fluid being cold.

    Idle Surging

Mine does the same thing, it is also tuned by calibrated. It is way more noticeable when it is cold out and not in high idle. Once High Idle kicks in the surging stops.

    2020 6.7 Cummins clunk noise

Could also be fuel splashing back and forth. I know I get some sloshing noise when between about half and full tank when I stop or speed up abruptly from fuel slosh in my big Titan 50 Gal Tank.

Jack and Jack Stand Location for Tire Rotation

When I rotate tires I lift the rear end buy the pumpkin and place my jack stands under the axle by the shock mount. Front I lift by the radius arm joint, anywhere that looks pretty solid and beefy.

    Regens at alarming rate!

DOC outlet and DPF outlet - above about 600 f or so and you should be in passive regen. Don't worry your self about trying to get temperatures in range though just drive it. In active regen i have seen both those numbers get to above 1075F and approach 1100F.

Cruise control unavailable ESC active / ACC unavailable service required

Sounds like a 0-5V sensor, they generally have voltage outputs of .25V (250mv) to 4.5V (4500mv). I had a similar issue when I did a Thuren level with upgraded drag link on my truck. the steering wheel was cocked to side when driving straight and would not let Cruise engage, similar fault as...

    Tranny temps

I have seen about 190f on my 68 RFE pulling about 8-9klbs in south Dakota at 95mph in 100f weather. During that trip it also wouldn't hold speed up like an 8% grade, I think I crested the mile long hill at like 80 or something.

    2024 Truck Details

A lot of people got burned on the 22 Aisin as well and that was a proven tranny for about 10 years until a manufacturing issue happened. We will have to wait and see what they come out with but I wont be doing a 2025 since I am still pretty happy with my late MY20 and would like to have it...

    Long crank

Probably cranks longer to get oil to places before getting to idle. I forget what year but there was a cold start oil issue on some trucks and the programming was changed to correct it. Personally I would rather have a bit longer cranking time to ensure oil is in all the right places than...

    2023 Frequent Regen - P2459

I had the excessive regen code and it cleared it self after I changed to the correct air filer and 2 regens. Still seeing fairly frequent regens with my daily diving to and from work, about 10-15 miles at 55-60 MPH.

New to Diesel Guy concerned about DEF usage in a new 2022 2500 RAM

DEF consumtption is very consitent across these trucks. My lifetime DEF is 557 MPG and 2.2% Def to Fuel. Towing DEF MFG is around 320 MPG and 2.7% DEF to fuel.

    6.7 Engine Air Filter Confusion

Here is my experience for what it is worth. I just installed a new White filter with Glue strips to my 2020 SO which is tuned by Calibrated Power set on light tow. Took it on a 3000 mile snowmobiling trip hauling a 31ft enclosed trailer with 5 sleds in it through all different weather...

Edge EZX info.. good or bad?

The Beta 64 unit is probably a stealth turbo for the 19+ Cummins Rams. I talked to them a while ago and they said it was in development.

    2022 Aisin Failure Tracking Sheet

I wonder what happened in MY22 that caused this to suddenly happen and what the actual MFG defect is. Wonder if they changed supplier on the snap ring and the hardness spec isn't quite right.

    2019 3500 recall

Bring it to your nearest Ram Dealership and the will schedule for the recalls, they are free. If your dad is the original owner he should have gotten something from FCA saying to call the dealer and bring it in for repairs for both recalls.

Y78 CP4 Pump Recall - Power Steering Fluid Leak

I had the same thing on mine, take it back to the dealer ASAP and have them fix it. The tech most likely forgot to torque the return line fitting after they took it off to do the recall.
