I have after market mud flaps so hopefully those will control the stones being spit out. Once in a rare while, I hear one ping so know it has hit something metallic.
One thing I would add is that the LTX M/S2 seems to have a tread that likes to hold on to a few of the gravel stones of our driveway and spit them out when getting up to speed on pavement. Just looking at the tread of the LTX Platinum, they look like they would do less of that.
Not exactly the same tire, but I got the Defender LTX M/S2 a while back. Pull an 8K TT. So far I like them. Way better than the OEM Transforce on wet roads. With the Firestones I could actually feel through the steering them losing grip on the highway when raining and they did that from the...
Yes so far. The only thing with my OEM replacement was right after install I noticed the side of the tank was touching the fuel filter. Fortunately when I loosened the bolts holding on the filter, there was enough play to slide the filter over about 1/2". So no longer touching and several...
I have the 52 gallon replacement Titan so not sure if really relevant to your question. But, FWIW, I go 2 hours+ before my fuel gauge needle starts to move. I always assumed that the needle starts moving at about the same point as the smaller OEM tank would have been full. Maybe not but I...
It is a very informative and entertaining video. I think, however, that much of the discussion about this topic ignores one of the main reasons most owners of these trucks think about this. That is the concern that the emission system can occasionally cause major headaches for no real good...
I have not heard of this. The NOCO Genius chargers have a green pulsing light once the battery is fully charged. NOCO says this mode is "Maintenance - Slow Pulsing Green - After the battery is fully charged, the charger will continue to provide ongoing maintenance and optimization until...
Got a NOCO 5 and repurposed my old NOCO 2. But I was not confident that the 5 was going to perform too much magic on my abused 4+ year old OEM batteries.
The OEM batteries tested marginally, one a little worse than the other, but not dead by any means. But when I thought about how much they...
Do you guys mean enough of a difference to see between the two choices or to see when the grid heater is cycling? I just set it to the ECU voltage so I'm not going to think about that anymore. But I was using that PID in the hope that the voltage would drop noticeably whenever the grid heater...
So all I could really find online comparing these is a thread where it was agreed that the initial "B" in "B-Bus Battery Voltage" stands for "Banks". That does not make sense to me and the only Banks item on my truck is the iDash. Why would the truck have something that stands for Banks? But...
