Why don't you actually read some information instead of confidently posting incorrect information:

Do you understand physics? A spring/tension force is not the same as a static force.
Yes dear. You're...
There is constant/permanent friction inside the head of hitch where the ball is mounted, the ball cannot be turned freely in the receiver and needs significant amount of force for it to turn. The trailer hitch does not turn on the ball ever, the whole ball itself turns in the hitch and that...
Haters going to hate, the Andersen is very effective and very nice to use. Granted, my trailer is probably smaller and lighter than most on an HD forum so I can't make any claims to how it works on large 30+ foot trailers. But for my setup, it has been more effective than the Husky centerline I...
You know I used to think this as well and it's probably true in a general case. But I saw the TFL torture test where the new hurricane SO got the least hot, my 5.7 stock would have overheated on that test. Maybe that's just poor tuning on Ram's part? But in any case, you can make either v8 or...
The 7.3 is technically a "big block". It's also far more powerful than the 6.4. The 7.3 also does not have any form of DOD/MDS. The 6.4 is ok, but its performance is pretty outclassed by the 6.6, 6.8, and 7.3s that are available in this space.
If I had nickle for every time I've seen a technican and mechanic and engineer leaving their opinion on this topic I could stop working lol.
I'm not discounting your experience, but other mechanics have other experiences and stories to tell. I've researched this for 5 years and watched every...
It's both, there are guys on ramforum who have pulled out their cam which is clearly on the way out but the lifters are surprisingly in perfect condition. Also note that the engineers originally called for a more hardened cam which they cheaped out on in production. The vast majority are fine...
Except we have plenty of reports of guys with almost 2000 idle hours and no lifter failure, and previous to 2009 there was almost 0 lifter failure but the block/cam/oiling did not change in 2009.
MMX is wrong on this. It's a materials issue, not a lubrication issue.
It's not the idling per se, it's "engine runtime" whether that be city driving, highway driving, or just idling. Some cams or lifters are apparently not hardened enough and when the engine is running, it's just a matter of time though I believe a better oil can play a role in extending the life...
All those guys are referring to the 5.7 which calls for a 0w-20 or 5w-20, your 6.4 calls for a 0w-40 so I'd be very careful about dropping viscosity to a 30 grade.
It's not just that simple either, there are thin 40 grades that shear down into 30 grade over the life of the oil, and there are...
Final comment on this, another way to look at this, all the rear axle ratio does is shift your 8 gears left/right slightly.
Being a 1500 guy I'm most familiar with my truck, so start with the 3.21 and the ZF 8 speed.
Gears = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
The 3.92 basically means you open your...
Confirmation bias my friend, look it up. I can give you anecdotal links from other guys who say they don't notice a single difference.
It's possible that there are specific loads at specific speeds going up specific hills where the one truck has an advantage over the other. But when you change...
