Long wait for truck

2022 Ram 3500 laramie HO. Ordered on May 16,2022. Built on August 20, 2022. Estimated delivery date October 12, 2022. Truck is still in Mexico. Unable to get a straight answer from dealer. 22 weeks into a 12-14 week time that dealer told me. Bad part is that this is an employee purchased vehicle. I hope no one has to wait this long to get a truck. Almost ready to jump ship.

The WAIT is well worth it.

I waited for over 6 months for my PW-75.

My order was cancelled by RAM at the 16th week because of “no more allocation” and promised a 2022 with price protection.

A couple of weeks later, a “fleet deal” fell through and allocation was available again…as I was told.

I had choice to either keep the 2021 PW-75 or 2022 PW (option 3 package).

I kept the 2021 PW-75 with no regrets (even with U-connect 4 as opposed to U-connect 5 and a few bugs which I will post shortly.

Ordered my '22 on 12/23/21 and it was delivered on 8/3/22. It sat built for 6 weeks before leaving Mexico. It was well worth the wait thou!

I was told 14-16 weeks in December, as the new "long" lead time.... I was hopeful, but also doubtful.

ordered 1-10-22, arrived in Vegas 10-6-22, still not available for pickup as they scratched the hood and have to repaint it.

Mine was 7 months from order to pickup. Hang in there, as many others have said it's worth the wait.

Yep, they flat out lied to you. I was told 6-8 months when I ordered mine at the end of March. It was 6 months in my case, and I feel lucky to have gotten it that soon.

it's a roll of the dice on any brand right now...granted the dealer should have under promised vs giving you a timeline that was that aggressive, but there are orders being turned around quicker than half a year...my opinion is that there are dealers that still don't know more about the ordering process than someone who has spend 30 mins on a forum

Ordered 2022 BH dually 12/1, delivered 2/15....right at 11 weeks
Ordered 2022 Tahoe 1/5 , delivered end of April...16 weeks
Ordered 2023 Tahoe 8/2, delivered 8/28...4 weeks...and this wasn't some unicorn fluke, there are others that are receiving Tahoes in less than 45 days from ordering...but the flip side is that there are people that have Tahoes that were built in March and April and they still haven't received them with no ETA

Luck of the draw when it comes to shipping. I was lucky, ordered 5/11 delivered 9/8. Difference is it shipped quickly by train and was built about same time as yours.

Hopefully it does show up before November 19 and the union rail workers go on stike if they can’t settle by that date a strike is coming.

Ya dealer definatly blowin smoke! I was told absolute best case 4 months, worst case 6-7 delivered to canada. Ill be the 5 month mark on nov 6th. Trucks on the last 5 days of its train trip to truck yard which is 2.5 hr from dealer so i imagine should see truck in 3 weeks or so. Dealer at time of order had me agree to just get the running boards etc put on when it gets here so i could avoid outside vendors or “JB” jail as some call it here to expedite the trucks delivery. Was good advice as far as iam concerned! And will definatly apply it next time as well

Mine took 6 month to Canada ordered exactly what I wanted Laramie 2500 2022 loaded except sunroof. Get what you want and wait. Only disappointment is the spray in bed liner very soft scratches easy. Can get it a more durable one here.

latest report from dealer, they said it shipped but still no eta, ram says truck is still in Mexico. My truck has changed to four different methods of shipping since Monday but hasn’t left yet.
