I have been driving the R1T lately. And these diesel prices are part of the reason why. But I do feel the need to jump in the Cummins though.

my fuel cost for CA-to-FL has gone up by $450 each way. CA prices are over $7 for diesel, making $5.39 in Texas seem like a bargain. IMG_0837.jpeg

$7.29 a gallon for diesel in Lake Tahoe when I filled yesterday. $6.99 for 87. $180 to fill it from just under 1/4 tank.

Idk whats more frustrating, that diesel is over $7 a gallon or that the pump cuts off at $100 so I have to swipe 2+ times just to fill the truck up.

We also own a boat with a 73 gallon gas tank that takes premium so thats fun to fill. A lot of peope in the area keep their boats on the lake and fuel at the marinas is now over $10 a gallon.

So in the last 2 days, gas has dropped 11 cents. From $6.07 down to $5.96. WHOOO, we are back under $6.00 a gal.

But in a few weeks, our new gas tax goes into effect. Guess they are priming us for the new screwing.

I have purchased 1,013 gallons of diesel in June, to date. Average price looks to be around $5.50.

Most expensive: Santa Nella, CA at $6.98
Least expensive: Comfort, TX at $5.28

I went back to 1/1/22, paid $4.19 a gallon in Arizona.

$4.99 in Joplin tonight. It's headed the right way, just a few bucks more and we'll be back to "normal"

$4.27 today for 87 in Grain Valley, MO (about 25 miles east of Kansas City). All of the other gas stations in the same area were $4.29. I can’t recall the diesel price, but believe it was around $5.30

This is the first I've seen Diesel under $5 in atleast six months, so I had to snap a photo.

Yep, they are slowly going down.

Got lucky this morning and didn't fill up on the way in to work. Just went to fill up now and price dropped 20 cents. o_O

Price is now 5.49 for regular here. Was 6.19 not too long ago. But will it ever get back down to below $3.00?

More pain - this was my local gas station in August 2020. I stumbled across this pic today while compiling a bunch of photos for a shared album (ICloud):-

Yep, sure miss those days when Diesel was cheaper than regular gas. It's hard to believe that was just less that 2 years ago. Hopefully is doesn't take that long to get down under $3.
