2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

View attachment 19402$79,437.00. Am I getting ripped off?
I also got quoted $500 over invoice. Ordered very similar trucks. Only difference is I don’t have the safety group or the auto level air suspension and mine is Delmonico Red. I also do have the snow chief group. My price is $76,836. But I’ve also been told since they screwed up and added the sunroof, we could negotiate a bit. I’d like to be at $75,750 for their $1100 mistake. But I don’t hate the sunroof, just didn’t want to pay for it.

Regardless, based off of 21 MSRP pricing (Too lazy to search through the thread to get each item’s exact 22 invoice price) you’ve got ~$2500 more in options and your price is about ~2600 more. Adjusting here and there for MRSP vs invoice price for options you’re in the same boat as me. Didn’t really want to travel all the way from Indiana to Louisiana or Washington or deal with the headache of shipping. After hearing the horror stories of local dealers I was okay with a weekend vacation 1 state away for the price difference.

4 as well, 7, 5, 2.5 and 9 months
I’m in the same boat as y’all. Ive been saying this is my last truck until we get the oldest out of the house, but that’s 7 years away :) can’t wait to get back to bucket seats like I had in my duramax!

It is my understanding from my dealer that a sold order is assigned a priority 99( lowest) until a customer name and address along with the salesman’s name is added to the order at which time it changes to a priority 1 (highest). My build sheet seems to verify that. I was also told that this is how your name gets on the window sticker.

In Pa I just bought a $74K with $71K trade in. So I paid 6% sales tax on the 3K difference.

When my 2022 comes in I'll trade the 2021 in and pay sales tax on the difference.

So I saved $4260 in tax alone on the deal. It's not worth dealing with someone across the country and shipping a truck when Mark at Ron Lewis is making me a fair deal and I'm saving thousands in tax by dealing within the state.

I believe the dealer will assess you taxes based on your state and zip code if residence, regardless of the dealer location. At least that’s what I’ve been told my Mark Dodge

Close to mine! Mine are 13, 10, and twins at 8.

For those of you closer to Washington state, the sales manager at bud clarys in moses lake is Gary Spencer. He is offering invoice minus holdbacks. For the truck I ordered, this was about $1300 more than Mark Dodge, but its alot closer for me and makes trading my truck alot easier . His email is [email protected].

That 1300 savings would disappear when you calculate shipping cost.

Are you getting some type of kickback from Bud Clary's or maybe related to them?
Pretty near every post you make you put a plug in for Gary Spencer.

Being from CA, I would have most likely ordered from Bud Clary with that kind of difference. So much closer. Unfortunately, for a couple months there they stopped offering the competitive pricing, and during that period I (and probably many others) locked in w/Mark Dodge. Not disappointed at all since Sandi has been fantastic, but I think Bud Clary missed out on quite a few sales from the western side of the US when they made this seemingly temporary pricing shift.

Looking back at my posts, your right in that this is just about all I have posted about! I wish I had more to offer in my posts to contribute. To respond to your question. I would love it if I got some sort of kick back, but no I am not related, and do not know him personally in any way. I called them because I saw on this forum where some had previously got a good deal from them. I was looking for someone to compete with mark dodge that wasnt so far away. After he gave me the deal, I told him about this forum, about the previous deals I heard about and asked him if I could post his contact information and the deal he offered because I saw alot of folks on here, looking for a closer place to buy. He said yes, I could disclose invoice minus holdbacks, so I did. It appears the previous person who was offering those deals no longer works there, but if he is willing to do it, I thought it would be helpful to spread the word. The reason I keep posting it is because not everyone has read through all the posts and similar things keep coming back up. I am just trying to help others that were in the same boat I was and hoping it helps someone out. Also, the reason I am posting his email is because its a short cut, directly to the sales manager, who is willing to give this deal. There are two Bud Clarys and a generic phone call may not get the person to the right location or salesman/ manager. If I see a post where it looks like someone is wishing for the deal they are offering (price and location), and it appears they havent seen the other posts, is there any harm in posting again?

I was just ribbing you. Thought you might have been Gary himself :).

No worries at all. I have gained a ton from this forum, and appreciate all the information shared!

Has anyone cancelled an order and got their deposit back?
Depends on the dealership. You won't get it back from Mark Dodge if you just cancel. It's their protection from placing a bunch of sold orders and not having immediate buyers.

I believe beckyt85 covered it well, but there are numerous forum members who have ordered from Sandi at Mark Dodge and Phillip at Bud Clary and received fantastic deals. Sandi strictly does internet orders and isn’t found at the dealership. I believe Mark Dodge realized that in the modern era they can move a large number of units with the power of the internet. By offering a no non-sense pricing and buying experience they move a lot of units which don’t cost them anything in holding costs, they pass that savings along.
Which Bud Clary is Phillip at?
