HI all,

I have a 2020 RAM2500 BigHorn, replaced a 2018 1500, which replaced a 2011,2005 etc.

The TowHaul andTraction control switch juts out a couple of inches, and my lady keeps hitting her knee(s) on the stupid thing. Any ideas for a replacement switch or even a bank plate since I use those rarely/never?

I can't be the only one that likes his woman sitting next to him.

Thanks for any ideas.
Kevin

You might be able to replace those silly piano keys with an auxiliary switch bank. PM @Jimmy07 to see if it possible. He's the "Cat in the know".

replace the woman problem solved, the only solution i can see besides replaceing the switches with one that has the aux switches as they are flush to the dash face

Yeah but the next woman may have the same problem LOL! This woman is not very tall!

So does the Aux Switch set mentioned in earlier threads fit the 2020 2500? I haven't been able to confirm that online, may have to visit the dealer!

Thanks for your help!

It looks like they are interchangeable. But the connectors may be different. The best thing to do is PM @Jimmy07 he is the guy that will set things straight. I can almost guarantee that the person you talk to in the parts department is not going to know

Yes they sold many 2020s with the aux switches

Yes, the switch bank with the aux switches will work in place of your current switch bank. Obviously, the aux switches won’t function unless you add some other stuff and program them, but the top row of switches (that have the same functions as your current switches) will work normally. It is a direct plug n play swap. Let me know what switch functions you currently have, and I can find the aux switch bank part number for you.

I might get creative and put an in-line remote control 12 V relay for about $10.00 that way if it’s hit on it doesn’t matter and you still have the remote control to turn it on if you need to

I only have the Traction control off and Tow/Haul.

I can probably come up with something to use the Aux switches for!

That will do the trick! Thanks

Unless you add all the other parts the aux switches will be just for show and have no use

Believe me, not having my lady, present or future, whacking their knee on those stupid "piano key" switches will be very useful to me ! ! !

What a horrible design. I can see where it would work if you had the center console and no middle seat. but in mine it is just an accident waiting to happen!

Thanks again

Hold on.... You mean there is a switch that has the piano style buttons that is a direct swap?... Is there one that has the tow haul, diesel exhaust brake, and aux bank? If so those aux buttons would be a lot easier to label than the standard push button ones.

You only get the piano style if you don’t have the aux switches
