Not sure if you can only get it in nav radios or not,I don't believe you can update from the 4 to the 5 though,I will try to find out tomorrow at work.Uconnect 5 8.4 vs. Uconnect 5 NAV 8.4
Does anyone now the differences in the Uconnect features between these two? I use my phone for navigation, so I was not planning to spend $800 to get the NAV 8.4, but my salesman said that all the U5 features may not work on the standard 8.4 system. For example, can you get the over air updates with the standard 8.4 system? I dont know if anyone can answer these questions, but it would be nice to know whether certain U5 features will be disabled/unavailable on the standard 8.4 system.
Awesome. Any idea when the build site will go live for the '22s?It looks like they are updating the build site for the 22's,as for the off road package the shocks are worth the price, that was a must have for me
Not available on the 3500's that I'm aware and isn't listed on the build site for 3500's.What's the offroad package? Is it available for the 3500's?
I have not heard of this yet (ordered from Mark Dodge), but personally doesn’t seem like a big deal. I’ll likely take it in and have it done during one of my regular oil change/service appointments in the future or something. Thanks for posting tho! Just one more unique COVID challenge of many it seemsMy dealer emailed this to me to ensure that I was good with it prior to ordering the truck. I read it and said I was good with it. Has anyone else seen this from their dealer? It is only a few days old.

The big thing, for me, was with the Nav unit you can get the Uconnect Guardian service that isn't available w the standard 8.4: wifi, remote start/stop, vehicle location (insurance discount), vehicle health reports. Most people use the navigation on their phones instead of the oem solution anyway.Uconnect 5 8.4 vs. Uconnect 5 NAV 8.4

My 5th wheel is camera ready with a mounting location and wire out the back .I'm hoping I can hook the camera to the existing wire on the camper and hook the Ram wire to the front of the camper where it is pre wired. How do you see yourself dealing with cable management along the camper body?
AVF is the single rear continuous monitoring camera, I had initially picked XN1 that is the momentary 4 camera set up that is $995 MSRP and $916 invoice. So going AVF saves $45 (nothing) and drops the 360 camera view, but adds the continuous monitoring from how I understand it? Do you agree?

Sorry,I meant the brochure,it has all the build codes and groups as well as pictures, curious if they will be changing the grill any, hard to get ahold of the design people here at CTCWhat build site are you referring to? When I go to ramtrucks.com and do a build and price, I only see 2021 option for the 2509.
Nope, only 8 speedsAlso, why does a 3500 CC/LB/DRW not get the rotary shifter? I prefer to have that as my 2017 1500 and my 2019 2500 had it and I learned to like it. Is there a way to get it on a Cummins 850TQ truck?
I just returned from ordering a 3500 HO and the sales guy informed me of this notice. He said the dealer would need a day to install some new parts to clear up the emission issue at no additional cost.My dealer emailed this to me to ensure that I was good with it prior to ordering the truck. I read it and said I was good with it. Has anyone else seen this from their dealer? It is only a few days old.

Are you saying you found a 2022 brochure? I'm sure lots of us would like to see it. There was a link on ramtrucks.com to the 2021 brochure but they appear to have taken that down. You can still find it elsewhere.Sorry,I meant the brochure,it has all the build codes and groups as well as pictures, curious if they will be changing the grill any, hard to get ahold of the design people here at CTC

Finally sealed the deal on a 2022 RAM 5500 Limited Cab and Chassis 60". Been a heck of an ordeal to find pricing below the standard 1% below invoice affiliate pricing. I finally came in about 2.8% under invoice by leveraging some commercial small business pricing and small business financing incentives. There were no FCA active rebates on the RAM 4500/5500 platforms (can't use PENFED and the like because they only go up to 3500 platforms). Hopefully, when the vehicle gets delivered there will be some new FCA incentives to further reduce the cost. I contacted about 10 dealers for pricing. Most local in the Virginia/Maryland area and a few farther out like Chapman, Lakeland, and Mark Dodge. Ended up with a local dealer (Safford of Warrenton,VA) offering the best pricing of 2.8% under invoice. Unfortunately, Mark Dodge cant sell 4500/5500 platforms so that easy option wasn't available. Lakeland never got back to me after multiple phone calls and emails. Andrea from Chapman was great to deal with and super helpful with providing me crucial configuration information and my first quote but unfortunately she couldn't do much better than the standard affiliate 1% below invoice pricing. Also, the cost of shipping a vehicle 2000 miles just made it financially unviable. I would like to call Andrea out for providing the best customer experience of all dealers I worked with! Overall, I was surprised that few dealers wouldn't honor even affiliate pricing on a factory order. I even had one dealer saying MSRP on factory order (WTF?).
The truck is about as fully loaded as I could get it. The one option I couldn't select was the Tow Mode Rear View option AVF or XH7 tow mode camera unless I got rid of the the Level 1 Limited package. That was a non-starter. Dealer Connect just wouldn't let us configure XH7 or AVF with the A69 packageMust be something specific to the 4500/5500 platform or an issue with dealer connect at this point. Just have to go without it. Now on to the waiting game, just hoping there are no restrictions and the order gets verified/accepted without issue. Fingers crossed.

LPD camera is the cargo camera that faces down into the bed. The digital rear view mirror uses a separate camera in the CHMSL.Got word from my dealer that my order, which was submitted yesterday, went to "D" status, which means it is on a firm schedule to build and has a "forever" VIN assignedThat was quick. Now the bad news, it kicked out two options: SJE Adaptive Steering System and LPD CMHSL LAMP W/Camera. I am not so upset about the Adaptive steering but really at a loss why the CHMSL W Camera option got rejected. My question is without the CHMSL camera what would the Digital rear view mirror show? The dealer is reaching out to the factory rep to understand why these two options got rejected from the firm order. I also asked them to confirm why we couldn't spec the XH7 wired TOW Camera in dealer connect. I really could use the XH7 camera option over the CHMSL camera when I have my truck camper on the bed. Hopefully some insight on what's going on early next week.
