2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

If it's a diesel, youll be fine with the 3.73s.

Air suspension... Youre gonna want that.

The OEM air suspension 3500's have a thinner leaf pack giving a MUCH better ride unloaded than the non-air susp trucks.

Trust me... you want the OEM air suspension. There are ways to make it fully adjustable.

For any of my fellow Canadian's waiting on their 2021 trucks still, I highly recommend calling your dealership to confirm your vehicle features. Apparently as they try to finish up the remaining 2021's they are deleting some optional features from the trucks to closeout the model year. My Limited Megacab had the air suspension and 4.10 rear end deleted which sucks. Now I need to decide if the 3.73 is good enough for my trailer and if I can live without air suspension. Pretty ridiculous to buy a nearly $100k truck, wait 6 months for it to be built and then find out you aren't getting what you ordered because the Ram factory start deleting options to help get going on the 2022's.

I've never had air suspension before, for those that have it what are your thoughts? Would not having it be a dealbreaker for you?
The 373,s should be ok unless you pull huge weights then you should have got a 3500 but from your sig you didn,t, you could add wireless air system like Ride rite thats what I have used in all my trucks , more control, the factory air suspension works better in the 2500 than the 3500 more adjustability, I would make the dealer install everything that you ordered, why would they even build your truck and omit options you ordered , they are going to put the same options on the 2022,s tell the dealer to take it off the train , send it back to Mexico and tell them to build what you ordered, its a hundred thousand dollar truck i have no idea why they would not put the parts on your order there not going to save them for a 2022 sounds like BS to me Sorry just my opinion

I’m always curious if I should of got air suspension on my 3500 as people say it has a softer ride. How much softer is the real question for me. My ride isn’t horrible but it’s definitely not my 1500 ha.
You can call it whatever you like but its not air suspension, if it was, there would be no springs back or front, whoever told you that you get a softer ride has no idea what they are talking about, there are not thinner leaf packs on the 3500s with the factory load levellers , the bags on the new 2500 and 3500 are LOAD LEVELERS all they do is level the truck when the loads are placed on the rear suspension automatically thats it,
I use the aftermarket bags like firestone and ride rite they have wireless controllers so you can adjust the load yourself because of level kits my trucks sit low in the back when my loads change , this lets me change the rake of the truck and even level my trailers so I can run level down the road. If you want a softer ride I would suggest a car not a 8000lb truck. On a side note 2500s do run softer than 3500s but thats because they are coil springed

Well, on the 2500 the rear coils are removed and only the air suspension is used. On the 3500, one of the leafs is removed from the pack. So, it can result in a softer ride. Can't say by how much, but it's not just a load leveler.

Wasn,t so sure on the 2500 but still coils up front, not so sure on the 3500 all the bags do is give you alternate height, softer ride I don,t know about that one , an air ride seat would make a difference , mmmm maybe a future RAM option?

Question: I just realized our new 5500 4 wheel drive has Hankook tires on it. Did RAM change the OEM tire brand?

This is 100% wrong information.

The 3500’s with OEM air ride DO IN FACT have a different (softer) leaf pack than the 3500’s without. This is WELL document all over this site.

Ram Dad has already informed me of this fact I don,t need you to remind me of this but it was to a comment about softer rides earlier in a 3500 and you are so well informed i,ve had over 20 3500,s in my life time and they rode as smooth as any tractor I have driven

Ok guy, I’m well aware of what the air suspension is and does on the 3500 vs 2500. Just saying I’m curious of the ride difference with the different leaf pack. Thanks

I, too, expected Conti's on my medium duty. After looking into it, it appears that both brands are still officially OEM options, but that most of this year's medium duties are rolling out shod in the 'Kooks. If I (re)find the doc on it, I'll be sure to post it

5/24 Window Sticker was up on Crypto Sticker
5/28 Dealer calls to tell me its on the train
6/8 Dealer says its in Wyoming on its way to Washington State for off load, then its trucked back to Idaho. If I am real lucky I might be picking it up Fathers Day weekend, or the weekend after.
Truck finally arrived at dealer on 22 June.
I picked her up on Saturday, 26 June.
I’m not a patient person when it comes to buying but I’m glad I ordered and got exactly what I wanted. Happy, happy, happy.

I'm starting to wonder if I should just cancel my 2021 order and put in an order for a 2022. Dealership sent it in on 4/29, and it still hasn't even been scheduled to be built. Seems like other people have already received their trucks that ordered the same time or later than me, so I'm still a month out minimum.

No answers from dealership, Ramchat, my escalated FCA case manager, or the Stellantis rep the dealership asked about the issue. They can't even answer if it'll be built as a 2021, or as a 2022. If they omit important things from my order like air suspension, I'm not accepting the truck.
I'm in the same boat. Ordered mine 4/20. They can't tell me anything other than they are collecting parts to build it still. Ramchat said maybe in 2 week they might have more information. Probably my fault for ordering all the options.

To me, it was worth waiting for the 22 just for the Uconnect 5 with wireless AirPlay and Android Auto. Also OTA map updates.
Where can I find info on the new UConnect 5? Or any other 2022 updates. Seems I just run across “we think RAM will do this” articles…

Lots of imfo about UC5 available, it's not specific to the HD RAM. There are other FCA vehicles that already have it.

There was an article talking about UC5 on the forum’s front page for a little while too.

Well, truck is in Portland OR. Getting close to Auburn WA. Getting excited. Looking like it will be close to 4 months from order to delivery date.

I live in Portland Oregon. I ordered my truck March 19th and haven't got it yet. Dealer told me truck is expected in Portland railyard on July 12th.
How did you find out it is in Portland? Wondering if mine is on that same train? Do you know what happens next with your truck? My dealer seems not to be sharing much info with me.
Thanks

I’ve been bugging my dealer once a week. He gave me the update today. It’s actually in Englewood OR. Not sure what happens when it gets up to WA. Assuming it is trucked from Kent WA to the dealer.
