I agree I would rather have the leaf's than the coils.....if using the truck as intended. My 2019 Ram 3500 SRW has rear leaf springs with the factory air suspension. It works really well. The 2500's have a low payload capacity (or at least I think so...see towing/payload chart below) with the coils. The coils will give you a decent ride better than the leafs....although some say the leafs ride better....I know my truck rides better with some weight in the bed.I am only stating this cause I prefer to have the leaf springs over the coils with pulling loads.. I wasn't aware of this until ordering this truck. A friend has a 2500 with coils pulling a 30ft trailer and they don't work worth a dam. He had to install the airbags were as I would rather have factory leaf's and not have to deal with airbags.
I will say if you ever have to add air bags to any Ram truck.....your new 2022 3500.....take a look at these they cost a little more but they have it all over other neame brands.....I have no stock or ownership in this company.....read many reviews before purchasing them.....I added these to a 1500 Ecodiesel I had and they worked really well.
