I wanted to order the factory black wheel to wheel side steps with my crew cab short box but they were unavailable at the time. The dealer said he would order some and put them on afterwards but looking around, I am finding some pretty nice ones. I do like the flatter look as opposed to the tubular or the ones with the hooped steps. I ran across these Ionic 5" nerf bars and for $248, they look pretty decent in the photos. I can't really tell from the pictures, but being 5", they seem nice and wide and more flat than tubular, and more similar to the factory steps than typical nerf bars. Or there are the straight ones for even cheaper at $220. I am not necessarily trying to be cheap here after spending over $50k on a truck, but if I am not getting much more by spending close to $1k on the factory ones just to get wheel to wheel, maybe I should go this route. These would be going on a granite crystal metallic night edition. Love to hear your thoughts or experiences with this boards (or similar).

Nerf's don't look too bad. Not my taste. I had wheel to wheel drop steps from NFAB on both my 2500's. Don't think I'm doing that again on my next truck build. Only 3 places I could step. I'll be getting the wide flat running boards this go around. Not sure what brand. Prob won't do OEM either. More foot coverage and it's wheel to wheel or cab coverage you can step sure footedly anywhere needed. Especially when washing the roof.

If you find some nice wheel to wheel steps, please post them. I would be interested in those ideally, but having trouble finding them in black. I wonder if what I mentioned is not a good choice, especially with kids that will be climbing in and out of the back.

Prob not what you're looking for, but these were mine. Have you tried 4wheelparts.com ?

I just found these wheel to wheel ones from Lund that might be an option too.

I have the ionic straights and like them just fine. Sturdy and mounted well.

Is the difference between curved and straight strictly aesthetics or something else?

Really wish I could find something like this for my CCLB.
Had these on my Silverado. Check these out...

I bought the Aries Advantage 5.5" steps for my 2021 Bighorn. They are actually an 8 sided aluminum step (not oval) with angled ends and look really great. I will snap a pic and post later today.

Great! I'd love to see that.

Here you go! Not the best pics sorry, but took a few different ones to give you an idea, and a close up so you can see their shape.
