2500 buyer here…jealous of the 50 gallon tank for $295 MSRP :)
Yeah, I have a 2500 now, I feel like the 31-32 tank is a thimble. I'll feel much better on long trips having the extra. If I can find a place when I'm around 1/2 tank, it'll also make me feel like I'm spending less.

I seriously considered the Titan tank. I love these trucks, I just don't understand why such a small tank is on a vehicle that's going to be gulping fuel with a load behind it. Even if you need bio breaks, sometimes pulling a trailer into a station can be a PITA, if you're not on the freeway.

Agreed. S&B makes one as well. I heard they were working with EZ Lynk on some updates to get distance to empty working on their 52 gallon tank too. Just gotta save the $1100+ up for when the 2022 arrives :) I had a 48 gallon Aero Fuel Tank on my 2006 Duramax and loved it.

Has anyone added the Digital Rear View w/ Tow Mode option? I think it's option code AVF.

Sandi says it's part of Safety Group B, but I don't see it listed in the Safety Group B sheet. Just want to make sure it's not a standalone option that I need to add.

Here’s a screenshot from a 2021 window sticker. I’m guessing it’s still part of it?
Edit: not sure how that works with tow mode option though.

I didn’t add it and wish I would have. She’s right in the fact that you get the digital mirror with the safety group. The AVF I believe includes the camera for your trailer also. I’m hoping I can add the camera after the fact and it will work with the mirror. On the 21’ the mirror is hard wired to the center stop camera so it’s not possible to have a different camera feed it.
pretty much the only thing I’m regretting at this point, but I tow without now ‍♂️ If it isn’t possible and I want it in the future I can always just do a stand alone unit.

I thought one of the 2022 changes was the ability to have an aux camera besides the CHMSL viewable in the rear view while driving. See attached.

If we were allowed to made changes or add ons that would be the one thing I would do to insure the ability to have trailer cam in mirror.

Do dealers usually mark up the price on new truck orders when its time to pay for it? The total price on my order sheet is a bit over 73k but I see no mark-ups or anything from the dealer? I've emailed our sales guy too

Correct, but we don’t know if you HAVE TO add the AVF option.
I didn't even realize this was a 22 option and just assumed that if you got Safety B with the digital rear view and the Trailer 360 it would allow the rear trailer cam to display on the digital rear view mirror. However, from the slide it looks like these two options (360 vs. two mode) may be incompatible. It would be strange to not link the digital rear view with the rear camera from the Trailer 360 view, but it might be a different kind of connection from the trailer. I already have a furion rear cam that works well, but I find that for on the road driving it really isn't needed. I mostly care about what is on either side of me, not behind me. If I'm moving too slow, they can always pass!

Yeah, the trailer surround 360 will display on the infotainment and the trailer tow mode will be an option for the digital mirror and won’t time out. Would be nice if they integrated them with each other though.

Ordered May 7th. Today I was just given the trucks vin # by my dealer and told that the price on my build has only increased by $576.00 for 2022. I got a no frills black SO Cummins crewcab 4x4 dually with 8' bed like the one below.

Not that I know of. We both signed a price agreement (mine's a 2022, so I don't expect pricing changes). My emails also indicate a purchase price + an amount for TTL.

Well guess I will hop into this group now as my order changed to a 2022 model a few days ago after already waiting since March. I am just happy I finally got a VIN and D status (did not happen prior). Also just made a deal private sale on my 19' Ram 1500 Limited for $6k more than I was going to get on trade in and since my GTR already wiped out all taxes on the new truck.. this is just gravy as I would not have gotten tax savings on my truck. Super happy but now I am a 1 car family until my big boy Cummins gets here :). Kind of kicking myself for negotiating as hard as I did on my trucks trade in number and only getting $3.5k off the truck plus the $6250 rebate & $1250 loyalty credit at 2.99% over 96mo. I am still happy with the deal and am over the moon excited for the text of my truck getting built.

Does anyone on here have any questions about 22s that haven't been answered? I'll be happy to help. Thank you to all who have reached out to me by pm!
Thanks for the help Andrea. Glad you are sticking around. I placed this order on May 7, and didn’t think about the Center Stop Lamp / Cargo camera until just now. Can you tell from my build if it is included in one of the packages, or am I SOL???

Does the new Tow Mode option (AVF) for the digital rearview mirror when ordered with the Trailer 360 Surround Camera system (XN1) utilize the same rear camera that is included in the Trailer Surround Camera option? The Trailer 360 View slides we've seen state the option comes with the 4 cameras that you mount on your trailer.

If Tow Mode option is ordered separately, does it include its own camera? The slides we've seen says it comes with 52ft of cable but unsure if a camera is included. I ask because in 2021 the Trailer Camera option (XFQ) was only in-cab wiring and plug at rear. The camera was separate.

Edit: Looks like the Tow Mode/Rearview Mirror option does include the camera (XH7) per @RAM_Dad's post earlier in this thread. I still wonder about when it is combined with the Trailer 360 view, though. Do you need to mount 5 cameras to your trailer in that case? Two in the rear, one for digital rearview mirror and a second for trailer surround? That's a lot of extra wiring to add to your trailer and extra plugs on bumper and/or inside bed.

Thanks!

Anyone know of a dealer that also sells 4500/5500s and willing to sell at an aggressive discounted price?
