I am just thinking far ahead that someday I may want to haul a little 10 or 12 foot fishing boat with me while I am towing a trailer and since the boat would probably stick out too far and hit the trailer if I just stuck it in the bed, the only thing I can think of would be to get some sort of ladder rack or something to stick it on. I am just wondering if anyone else does that and if so, are you able to a use a tonneau cover with it, or would you have to remove the whole tonneau setup (not just the cover part of a trifold) in order to mount the ladder rack?

Anyone use a ladder rack for a boat? Do they work with tonneau covers?

That totally depends on your tonneau cover and your ladder rack. I have a low profile soft roll tonneau cover. It gives full access to your bed rail cutouts. If you have a ladder rack that works in the bed rail cutout slots then it would work together.
My last tonneau cover covered part of the bed rail cutouts so it would not have been compatible with a ladder rack.

I really don't know anything about how ladder racks work. Do some just clamp on or do they all go in the slots?
