Hi from the Austin, TX area!

I just purchased my new 2021 3500 Laramie, SRW, SWB in Delmonico Red on 6/5/2021. It is pretty loaded and has almost all of the features of the Limited (or the ones I care about) right off the lot. I would have loved a Patriot Blue Limited, but with the choices on lots right now, beggars can't be choosers.

I previously had a 2003 Ram 1500 ST Single Cab with the 4.7L V8 in Patriot Blue; it was a really basic truck but it was great for me at the time.

I just now upgraded (massively) from a 2013 Toyota Tacoma (supercharged 4.0L, heavily modified; build thread here). Before that was a Jeep Wrangler, and a Sierra Denali, etc...

I have a relatively small RV that I was towing with the Tacoma (Kodiak Cub 196BH which actual CAT Scale weight comes in around 5,900lbs with ~700lbs tongue weight). That trailer is technically within the tow ratings of the Tacoma, but the truck just wasn't keeping up on long trips. I have some even longer trips planned this year (1500+ miles each) and intend to upgrade to a much larger 5th-wheel in the next few years so it was time for the Toyota to go.

I'm telling myself that I'm not going to do too many modifications to this truck but I also know myself too well =) I'm an engineer by profession and a tinkerer at heart.

So far I've added a Banks Pedal Monster (easy peasy), installed an AMP bed step, and just today installed the B&W turnover ball gooseneck hitch. I've got a wireless CarPlay adapter in the mail (had that in the aftermarket radio I installed in the Taco and loved it) as well as a RetraxPRO MX retractable Tonneau.

Truck is sitting at 8,520lbs right now with a full tank of Diesel, me, and all my tools loaded up in the RamBoxes (I got it weighed at a CAT Scale 15 minutes from home, just couldn't help myself).

Looking forward to getting to know the folks around here and I intend to contribute as I do mods / upgrades over time!
