2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Hi Guys new to the forum. Ordered a Megacab Big Horn 2500 with the Hemi and 4.10 gears in Canada in late March. Salesperson informed me today that they want to convert my 2021 build to a 2022. He assured me the pricing that I received will remain the same (price protection) but I will lose the discount (no program protection) that was available at the time of the order. He mentioned it wont arrive until late summer or early fall at this point. I'm sure our US counterparts will receive theirs before us in Canada. He also mentioned cant guarantee anything for rates for financing at this point but should be similar to what we are seeing currently, also mentioned there is chance the incentives will be same at time of delivery but no real way of knowing, So if timelines are true...from time of original order to potential delivery could by about 6 months. This is in Northern Ontario.

Why would they offer this to you, You have already waited 3 months ,do you have a vin, the truck will most likely be built. There not jumping through any hoops for you or giving you a great deal to wait longer, They just want your truck to sell for more and then charge you more for a 22 , I think your salesman needs a ride down to Cherry st and tossed off the pier ,where do they grow these guys, buying a new truck should be a great experience not a stress maker on all the different types of scams these guys are coming up with, once You get your truck no handshake just a couple choice words. BUT thats me im just a frost bitten boy from Wasaga or unless you want a 22, whatever you decide you hold the cards not them

Yeah ordered it and I asked for a update about 3 or 4 weeks ago and they had nothing for me. So not sure why I never got a VIN or VON yet. At this point I haven't even given them the go ahead to order the 2022 because I am rethinking this whole experience. May just ask for my deposit back and try another dealership or maybe just give up for the time being. This is my 4th truck and first with RAM and I have no been impressed much with the service from the local dealership's sales team

I probably have one of (if not the) earliest 2022 orders so far. I ordered mine around 9 am the morning after RAM stopped taking orders on the 2021 models. Ordered on May 7, got VIN on May 11. Just like everyone else, still no information. D status. No details as far as pricing, any enhancements, or delivery times. I ordered a 3500 Laramie Crew Cab with a ton of options. Will be replacing a 2016 3500 Laramie Crew Cab. I will post the build sheet when I get back home tonight. I hate the waiting game!!!! :)

Here is my build sheet. This will be my 8th Dodge / RAM truck since 2004, and hopefully my last. Ordered in Las Vegas BTW on May 7

Nice build. If you don’t mind, what kind if pricing did this dealer in Vegas give you off MSRP?

I did the same thing last month....I sold my 2019 SRW last month as it's value went up 5K from the previous month. I need a DRW but not until about a year from now....so I'm going to order one in October of this year. I basically want the same truck I had (loaded up Laramie) except a DRW. My PA tags were due in July. I used the truck for two years put 16K on it and got just about what I paid for it. I sold it back to my dealer....he turned around and sold it in less than a week for about 1K less than I paid for it....its crazy how much the values went up on these trucks.
I’m from PA too, York county. So driving down to Louisiana is going to be a hike. I need my current 1500 Laramie for work (roofing) until I pick up the 2500 so I decided to just trade it in to Mark Dodge to make it smoother and less hassle. I have 47k miles on it, I paid 45k for it about 2 years ago. Sandi offered me 47k and said just keep it under 55k which seemed extremely fair to me. So I’ll drive down there with the 1500 and leave with the 2500.

For those of you who have placed 2022 orders w/Sandi, have you discussed the shipping option at all? If so, what was the rate? I'm in CA and, even with the likely cost of shipping, she still may be the cheapest option that I've seen in this thread. I've debated fly/drive, but that's a 30+ hr drive by myself, and might just rather ship it.

Also, unrelated, but also for those of you who have a 2022 order in: what happens if the options change when Ram finally announces things? Or do the dealers know the options definitively, just not pricing? Primarily concerned with any last-minute surprises, as I'm ready to email her but have been holding off the last couple weeks hoping the final word would come out re: options and pricing from Ram.
I’ve received two estimates, “800-1000” and 1299 for Mark Dodge to the Phoenix area. Will probably just have it shipped, as I expect the cost to fly/drive to be about $800 to get it back home.

I am definitely going to have Sandi get me a price. It’s probably worth paying a little more to just have them deal with it.

Someone else mentioned in the 2021 thread that they had two options; have a broker setup shipping, or put an offer out on one of the trucking sites. Like “$800 shipped to Florida” (around 1000 miles) and it was picked up instantly. I think it ended up getting canceled, but they found another person to do the transportation for like $50 more.

Make sure you get all the truecar/PenFed/other rebates you can! Every little bit helps :)

For new PenFed members, they don't have this available anymore when I called a few days back to inquire, however for those grandfathered in, yes, absolutely. Seems like some of these rebates and incentives have fizzled some with all the heavy demand currently.

All parts received now on my 2022 Ram order. Ram-chat said it would be in production shortly, but i'm guessing shortly means after July 26th?
Unless some cool Ram employees take the parts home and start assembly in their garage?

I only ordered two days ago so I only have my VON at this time. Do they email you a link for ram chat? Or is it something you just go to and create an account for? Thanks for any info

FWIW, I chatted with Ram about my order placed on 5/12 and they said:

Amber (6/11/2021, 7:58:21 AM): I can see your order is in the scheduling stage, once all of the required parts for your order are accounted for it will be sequenced for production!
Me (6/11/2021, 7:58:45 AM): thanks. what is the status code?
Amber (6/11/2021, 7:59:25 AM): We no longer use the status codes so I would not be able to say what this would correspond to but your selling dealership may still be able to provide this information
Me (6/11/2021, 8:00:42 AM): Is there a build date and/or estimated ship date?
Amber (6/11/2021, 8:01:30 AM): There are no set dates at the moment, I would recommend checking back in a week or so and we can check on this again for you!
Me (6/11/2021, 8:02:06 AM): When will the builds of the 2022 model year units start? I heard online it will be July 24.
Amber (6/11/2021, 8:03:16 AM): They are expected to begin in July, however there has not been a set day released as of yet
