I have the base 8.4 radio with the 6 speakers system on my 19 Bighorn 2500, can anyone post up what manufacture and model number speakers people have installed on the 19-20 trucks for the doors and dash. I feel the stock door speakers kind of suck as they are not that loud on my truck.

If it's a loudness issue you may want to consider increasing the power put to the speaker as opposed to a different speaker

I thought the same thing and ended up going down the rabbit hole of upgrading everything. I put Kicker CS series in for all the doors and dash speakers along with a Rockford amp. Huge improvement. I love it now.

You’ll need to bypass the ANC system.

I've been going in circles planning a stereo for my truck when it arrives. Hoping to build off of mostly what I already have in my stereo stock that I have on hand. If I already didnt have multiple 6.5" midbass woofers, I would go with the Audiofrog GS690 6X9 woofer/midbass. They also make a full range 6X9 if you dont want to do components, but I would expect you will need to add an amp any way you go really to improve upon it.

Thanks for the input, Do you have a diagram for disabling the ANC system?

I didn't know just putting speakers would cause and issue with the ANC.

If any of you wanted the depth of the front door speaker and cavity it goes in here it is. I measured the cavity up to the window bar/bracket to the mounting flange (see pic).

I had the bypass harness, but my installer preferred to disconnect a couple wires. I would have preferred he used the harness.

I think problems arise when you amplify your speakers. In doing so, it'll amplify the frequencies of the ANC to make them way too loud. Therefore, you need to bypass / disconnect it.

I purchased the Kicker CS series, 3 1/2" corner, 6 1/2" front door, and 6"x9" back door speakers, and just finished boxing them up to send back to Crutchfield. I have a 2019 Bighorn with the 8.4 radio. With all the new speakers in I lost all my bass, the dash speakers seemed over driven and I had to keep using the fade to back to tone them down. Can't say much on the rear door speakers, but overall I actually think the factory speakers sound better. The over all sound required the bass turned up all the way up, and the treble as well for the harsh tinny sound. Overall I think if I added an amp it would have improved the sound but I didn't want to go that far.

I would agree this is the case. I added 2x 12" subs to the equation which solved that problem. The factory system sounded ok, but had pitiful volume. I wanted to take the bass out of the speakers, and have it supplied by subs. Once you start messing with the system, it sort of spirals into replacing everything to get the right sound.

Infinity Primus PR9613IS looks like a great option for font and back doors. They are only 2.7 ohm, (the lowest ohm 6x9 I could find on crutchfield) so the factory system can have no problem moving them. Everybody running 4 ohm 6x9s on the factory output seems to lose all bass, and that is the opposite of my goals. The reviews on crutchfield for owners of Rams are pretty positive as well.
I don’t think I am going to touch the dash speakers unless I can find 8 ohm replacements.

The only drawback to the Infinity Primus PR9613IS is the depth at 3 1/8. The depth of the cavity for the front doors from mounting flange to metal bar is 2 13/16 (see pic above)

I have some speakers in route and will report on what I find out good or bad.

I guess a 5/16 spacer is in order. I look forward to hearing how your speakers you ordered work out! What ya got on the way?

I did not go crazy, I got 2 sets of Pioneer TS-G690 and a set of Kicker 46CSC354 for the dash along with a IDatalink bch3 anc noise cancellation harness. Maybe it will work maybe it will not but will take a swing at it.

I have been looking into these. The specs are for both the woofer and tweeter connected to the xover. I am wondering what the spec would be for just the woofer by itself. Would you have a way to test the impedance/resistance of the woofer itself? I'm sure multiple people would love that info...

With enough YouTube I could probably do anything, but I am about as far from electrical inclined as they come. I’ll see if I can figure it out. Another option they don’t have on crutchfield is the Memphis shallow 6x9, those are 2 ohm.

I was on their site - didn’t see that. May look again. Thanks for the info

I'm going to do this in steps, the IDatalink bch3 ANC cancelling cable came in today and I installed it.. It took maybe 5 minutes and is located right next to the emergency brake pedal and you can install it without removing anything, unplug the 2 cables and install the new bypass cable. As a note the black connector you push in the tab to remove and the white cable you pull out the tab to remove it from the ANC module.

I will report back on results of it. My speakers are here as well and will do them in steps as well to see if there is a problem with loosing bass or such.

You can add resistors to get to 8 ohms if you want. I used the Infinity Reference in the dash and they worked fine without the resistors although I did fade to back a bit. The dash speakers really helped fill in the missing highs of the Alpine system. The Infinity REF-9633ix have a sensitivity rating of 94 vs on 89 for the Infinity Primus you mentioned. They are close in ohm rating so I expect the 9633 will be better. I am going to give them a go even though I like the stock sound with the REF-3032s in the dash - at least from the front seats. I hope I am not going backward LOL

Has anyone tried Mopar 82215414? It seems this set might fit 2020 and prior trucks with 6-speaker setups.

Unfortunately it looks like Ram change the base door speaker for 2021 to 68402778AA (polarity change maybe?) so it's not going to fit mine.
My research shows 2020 and prior trucks use 05091019AB at the doors for the base 6-speaker setups.
This would explain why Metra has a different adapter (72-6515) for 2021 base door speaker replacement as opposed to 72-6514 for older trucks.
