Trying to find a larger tank that first under the tonneau cover in a mega cab. Tried a 60 gallon tank from RDS that I thought had a removable fuel neck. Turns out, it doesn't. RDS 71212 doesn't fit under a tonneau cover. According to RDS, they changed the design about 6 months ago and the neck is welded in, not threaded.

I got the tank model from another thread on here where another member was able to remove the fill neck and use a barrel camp to make it fit under a cover. The new model doesn't allow this.

Anyone got a 50 or 60 gallon gravity feed tank that fits a shorted and goes under a tonneau cover?

I bought the 91-gallon RDS tank and the EXTANG Hard Deck foldable tonneau cover. The cover was special ordered as it is designed to be used with a full width tool box with a 22" depth. I had to make a 6" mount to raise up the tank to clear the wheel arches, but for my traveling the 91-gallon tank is perfect. I too was surprised to find their new billet welded cap... my original ARE Topper has a marine pop-up diesel inlet with a hose.

My intention was to use my truck topper and not get a bed cover, which is why I bought the hard cover... but now I have made an extension cable for the Video Monitor Rearview Camera, so I plan to sell the short bed cover soon.

Here is a video where you can see the bed cover.

Well, I got a tank that fits under the cover. Lund 50 Gallon. Used the RDS gravity feed and everything worked great on a 2k mile camping trip.

have you had any issues with "range resets" apparently some people have had issues with the truck showing empty after a few miles of gravity feed since it doesn't see the gauge moving. They are in other brand trucks, so not sure if any RAM guys are having this. I am planning on gravity feed from a 95 gallon tank to a titan 55 gallon tank. on my truck.

Cool! That's what I hoped to have, now time to order parts!

I would double check on the gravity feed with the titan tank before ordering. I know one of those manufacturers( either titan or S&B) say that using a gravity feed with their tanks will void the warranty of their tank. May not stop the functionality, but something to consider.

Yes, s&b states gravity feed is not covered, haven't looked into titan for that, but I'm not too worried about it.

I am looking for the same configuration, but with ramboxes.

You guys don't have anyone local? All the guys around here will build a tank to whatever specs you want, for the same price.

I am really a newbie in truck’s world. If this can be done locally anywhere for comparable prices I would do it in a local shop.

I found this tank on Amazon and I was wondering if I can get it installed locally after I order or they can make it for the same price.
