Looks like manuals had incorrect torque specs for wheel lugs leading to potentially over tightening and damaging the wheel studs.

 
Don't know that info, but saw this

The automaker didn't announce when the Ram truck recall will begin, but concerned owners may call 800-853-1403.
 
So what’s the correct torque?
My manual says 145 ft/lbs. My 2003 manual showed 140 ft/lbs. I would think that 140 or 145 would be correct. Not sure when they caught this but you would think that with the announcement they would have provided the proper torque. Regardless, I will be using 140 ft/lbs.

I tried 140# on my 2015 and wound up pulling threads on 4 or 5 lugnuts..so stayed at 120#

Maybe they changed something about the studs since 2003? Torque is determined by bolt diameter, thread pitch and bolt hardness (grade). SAE table provides torque specs based on those parameters.
 
So is it supposed to be 4 or 5 ugga duggas?
 
If you have a flange nut they typically say right on the nut stamped in but the torque is 130ft/lbs according to every 4500/5500 truck i have worked on thats stamped on the nuts
 
My manual (downloaded in Augist 2020) states 140ft lbs, I spoke to a technician at my local Ram dealer on Saturday and he told me the correct torque spec is 130 ft lbs.
 
I just put so 17in Alcoas that came off a 2015 on my 2000 Dually , had to use my lugs which have a 140 stamp and 15/16 socket, the 2015 lugs where stamped 130 and where a 13/16 socket and a different thread ,just found that odd but I check the torque every 200k at 130, commercial truck, don,t want to overstretch or start snapping lugs
