Does your truck have the rain sensitive wipers? Might be a sensor problem with that system if you do.

Definitely odd. FCA telling you that is horse ****. What conditions cause this or is it totally random.Picked the truck up on Friday, it started acting crazy again Sunday morning. I escalated to corporate Ram, they told me today they wouldn't consider it for a buyback because the tech couldn't get it to repeat the issues any of the FIVE times I've had it at the dealer. They don't care that I have it on video, or that it keeps throwing codes at them. They said all they could do is have me bring it in again.
I reached out to an attorney today that specializes in lemon law. I'm pretty infuriated with FCA at this point.
If I could get the schematics I'd probably figure it out for you. At this rate, I'd venture down the road of whichever controls all 3 components, I'd bet that its fried.Definitely odd. FCA telling you that is horse ****. What conditions cause this or is it totally random.
A short wouldn't make those 3 things rotate around like that. That seems more like a programming bug. I know your radio controls your ac/heat controls. It would also feed your codes.(I'm guessing on that) I'm not sure about the rain sensitive wipers but I would bet that's a hard yes being that it's a program that initiates it.I haven’t been able to identify any conditions that cause the issue (temperature, precipitation, operation, etc). So far the dealer has repaired a “corroded” ground, replaced the power distribution center, and replaced the vacuum pump.
So first part of troubleshooting is what's the connection between all 3 issues. ..... the 12" radio. Tell the dealer to put in a new one or reprogram it. If it still persists, they better start pin checking. Watching the video. I can put money on it's the radio.A short wouldn't make those 3 things rotate around like that. About 2 weeks back I emailed Mike Manley, Reid Bigland, and Jeff Kommor, because why not. A couple hours later someone from Jeff's group called me and said they were taking over my case.
They ended up sending me to a different dealership; I got the impression they didn't have much confidence in my original dealer's service department. Here's the service memo from what the new dealer did:
FOUND NUMEROUS CONCERNS INCLUDING RANDOM WINDSHIELD WIPER OPERATION AT TIMES THAT THEY ARE NOT REQUESTED, STALLING AND RESTARTING, HVAC INTERMITTENT OPERATION. AFTER ANALYZING THESE THREE CONCERNS AND TRYING TO ISOLATE COMMON WIRING, GROUNDS, AND POWERS TO LINK THESE CONCERNS TOGETHER, A STAR CASE WAS CREATED AND TECHNICIAN WAS ADVISED, BY STAR, TO REPLACE THE BCM. INSTALLED A NEW BCM, REPROGRAMMED, AND FOUND ISSUES STILL PRESENT. AFTER REPLACING BCM FOUND TRUCK EXHIBITING L/F HEAD LAMP INTERMITTENT, WIPERS MOVING WHILE HEADLAMP FLASHING, BLOWER INTERMITTENT, ETC AS CUST STATED. NOTED COMMON GROUND G907A IS GROUNDS ALL STATED COMPONENTS. VOLTAGE DROPPED POST G9077777 IS MOUNTED ON OFUND NO ISSUE. CONTINUITY TEST BETWEEN VAC PUMP GROUND AND G907 EYELET HAD 600,000 OHMS. CONTINUITY BETWEEN VAC PUMP AND IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT SPLICE BETWEEN G907A EYELET AND ALL ITS SUPPORTED COMPONENTS WAS .3 OHMS HEAT SHRINK GOO
I was very excited that they were able to finally reproduce the issues I was experiencing, and confidence is high that they were able to correctly diagnose the cause. I'll let you guys know if it starts acting wonky again, but I'm hopeful this is case closed.
Mine has stalled 2 times when in reverse on a hill. If you watch your rpms the engine is often bogging down when around 750 and bogs down to 500 when stopping or when accelerating lightly.

You have any more info on that update? Id like to show the tech this when I bring it inI had this happen, mainly when towing, but has happened when not. I took the truck into the dealership and they did a update of the transmission module and it seems to corrected the issue. Wont know 100% until the snow melts and I hook up to my trailer again but not towing the hesitation/bogging down is gone.
I'll take a look to see if the tech report is jn my truck. If so I'll post what's on it about the issue. You have any more info on that update? Id like to show the tech this when I bring it in

Finally dropped mine off for the stalling issue today. As well as the AC lacking performance. Praying they don't return it saying they can't replicate. So I cannot find the sheet. What I do remember though is that it did say they updated the TCM software to a new version that was 2 newer then what my truck was loaded with from the factory. I definitely corrected the bogging down, even not hooked up to anything it used to stall out in my driveway and it does not anymore.
Matt Smith deserves a raise, that is the most coherent thing I have ever read from a dealer.Update:
They fixed all my concerns, and somehow did it without damaging anything it appears!!
I'm going to attach my paperwork so if anyone else is having these problems reference your dealer to this.
