2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

My wait finally ended, can't believe how much I like this truck. As another member said, "this is the nicest thing I have ever bought", that's true for me too! Ditched the Firestone Transforce's at the dealership and had them install the Longhorn Gatorback mud flaps. What an awesome truck, I think my wife likes it as much as I do. Can't wait to saddle up the trailer once we get to 800 kilometers to see how this thing really tows.IMG_6418.jpegIMG_6420.jpegIMG_6422.jpegIMG_6423.jpegIMG_6425.jpegIMG_6426.jpegIMG_6433.jpegIMG_6431.jpegIMG_6430.jpegIMG_6428.jpeg

Great job on the photos!

Congratulations and many happy miles with it. Ooops... I mean kilometers.

Are those factory mud flaps?

I can somewhat vouch for Bud Clary. Sent them an email the week before Phillip went on vacation. Called them the following Monday to see if I could put an order in. Nothing. Sent a follow up email a week later, Phillip responded that he was out and would follow up when he returns. Nothing since. Aaron’s team at Mark Dodge responded quickly. Also have an email chain with Stone’s Country in Idaho. They’re just waiting for final options on the 2022s.
Piror to ordering with Phillip, I was able to negotiate the 6% off invoice with the managers at Enumclaw CJDR and Tacoma CJDR. DM me if you'd like the contacts. I went with Phillip as he was straight forward. The other two required the dance over a period of weeks to arrive at the 6% off invoice.

Anyone seeing the ordered truck arrive without the ordered options?

I'd heard that Ram dealerships are gettting their service techs certified to install the semi-conductor components after arriving at the dealership.

Ordered a 21 Ram 3500 Limited HOC 4x4 DRW in Maximum Steel on 2/26 and took delivery on 5/21 (12 weeks). Received with all options ordered. Dealership had an offer of MSRP + $10k for our truck the day we picked it up. Current pricing is MSRP + $2k for 2022 trucks. Glad we ordered when we did, before materials shortages and price increases.

Beautiful truck!!

Mark,. Great looking rig! Are those OEM running boards...AMP Research running boards...? Can you post a few photos of them...how well they tuck up to the rockers, how far they extend. If they are OEM, are there courtesy lights? Appreciate your time.

just noticed, when I ordered my RAM on April 23, the base price was $250 less then the Window Sticker Base Price I just received today. I checked RAMTRUCKS, and sure enough, the base price has increased by $250. Thankfully, all of the options stayed the same. Suppose it’s inflation. No telling how much more the 2022 will be selling for. Not sure if anyone else noticed this.

That right there... is a stunning truck. Great choice, mate!

I noticed the BC plates and I did want to pass along one piece of (hard-won) knowledge -- if they salt the roads up there, you have between now and winter to get a clear coat/sealer/protectant on the wheelwell's bumper bolt (as in my attached pic). Assuming the 2021's are sourcing the same bolt as the 2020's, it will rust in its very first winter season. I have a 6-month-old 2500 Mega Cab (3k miles) that is flawless, with the exception of these two, damn rusty bolts. Makes me swear at FCA whenever I notice them, as small as an irritant as may seem to others :)

Cheers!
Gavin

Will do, thanks. Aaron is around 5.5 under (first time I reached out to them). I’m wondering if Phil is out of pocket because there aren’t any final options/numbers yet for the 2022s?

Target delivery window per Ram Chat is 6/1-6/15

4/30 - Order placed, VON issued
5/3 - Received VIN from dealer
5/15 - RamChat stated truck in framing
5/19 - Build sheet available this morning
5/22 - Window sticker issued
5/24 - RamChat stated target delivery date is 6/1 - 6/15

It looks like I will be about 8 weeks for shipping. My truck left the factory on 4/8 and scheduled delivery just slipped again. It may be as late as 6/9 now per Ram Chat. My dealer confirms.

Bill, they are the OEM running boards, standard equipment on the Longhorn Level 1 Equipment Group, I believe they are also standard on the Limited too. Here are some pictures, they tuck up nicely, in fact you can't really notice there are running boards until you open a door. When the door is closed, they stay open for almost five seconds which is helpful for when you need to get in the rear of the truck to retrieve something - they won't tuck in and go back out again. They are just over six inches wide, no courtesy lights that are part of the running boards but the puddle lights on the mirrors provide all the illumination necessary.IMG_6442.jpegIMG_6438.jpegIMG_6439.jpegIMG_6440.jpegIMG_6441.jpegIMG_6442.jpegIMG_6442.jpegIMG_6442.jpegIMG_6441.jpegIMG_6440.jpegIMG_6439.jpegIMG_6438.jpeg

Thanks Gavin, I suspect this is the culprit right here.

It sure is! I suppose you could also replace it with a $2 stainless bolt rather than the 10 cent one that's in there, but as the only visible, unpainted bolt on the entire truck, it was an odd place for FCA to cheap out on...

Thanks Mark!! They clearly look more robust than the AMP boards. Unfortunately, they were not an option for my 2021 2500 Bighorn with Level II Equipment Group.
Someone from Mopar Sales Direct has volunteered to compile a parts & price list since Mopar does not seem smart enough to offer a retrofit kit for those who want to add them. Once I have that info, I will share on this site. Again Mark, thanks. Great looking rig.

You can also have them stay out when you exit the vehicle until you re-enter,whitch is great for parking lots.If you have a smaller vehicle parked next to you and they carelessly open their door it will hit your running boards instead of dingy your truck.
