When I owned my Ford platinum, I added a chip to it so I could watch movies YouTube etc. on my screen. Does anyone know if you are able to do these things with this 12.1 inch screen?

I feel like the system is very locked down and unable to change to do customize things does anyone have more knowledge or could share further on this.

I installed it and added one app. The free version only lets you add one app per month. Hopefully by the time I go home, I will have enough apps added to out that nice 12" to work, lol

Isn't it only one at a time, and you can't unload/reload a different one for 30 days?

Perhaps I misunderstood the dev's explanation.

If I understood it right, it lets you install more than one but need to wait for one month between additional installs.
Here's what it says if I try installing another app now.Screenshot_20210521-172336.jpg

Many people have trouble running this app after their phone upgrades the OS or upgrades AA. It seems Google gets wise to the workarounds for sideloading AA apps and closes the loopholes. You may want to uncheck auto-update for AA.

There's always option to root your phone, lol.
Personally I don't care if I can watch movies or not, just doing it for ****s and giggles.

I paid and it installs more than one app. So I would think the one-month period would allow more than one app to be installed.

The apps that were working with this app are now not working on my Galaxy S10. I e-mailed the app owner and he said to downgrade android auto from 6.4 to 6.3 . I did that and shut off auto-update . It works again. My phone must have updated the app.

Is there an easy way to downgrade on a non rooted phone? It was a piece of cake on my rooted Samsung but on my current non rooted phone there's no easy way to do it, it requires searching for and side loading the version that you need.
I checked my AA and I have 6.4.6 version installed. Didn't try it in my truck yet but starting AA on my phone, Fermata Auto that I installed is showing in the list of available apps in AA.

If uninstalling doesn't revert to an older version, allow install unknown apps (sources), you can find an APK, download, and install that.

My phone is not rooted. I went to apps in settings and found android auto. The three-dot menu on top right has "uninstall updates" on it.
Directions in the link on my last post and link to the working update.
