It is is my understanding that gasoline tanks have to be certified by DOT (Title 49 CFR 393.65)... Titan has not bothered to seek certification for whatever reason.

And per Titan instructions they require a Class V hitch to be installed. It makes sense for protective purposes and up until a few decades ago tens-of-millions of vehicles have been driving around safely with gas tanks between the bumper and rear axle. It is simple to protect that area and I am confident the RAM provides that in spades.
Just because you can do a thing, doesn't mean you should do a thing.

It's more than just location, it's also materials design, placement, protection, etc.

Many of those cases that forced a change were due to the rear vehicle getting under the rear of the front vehicle, causing a rupture of the fuel cell. Hit by another truck, you're OK. Hit by a Prius and it could be curtains (of fire.)

Interesting, Side note i knew the ZJ had the fuel tank issue never knew the liberty was part of that, good to know, i have no clue how the CJ5 , CJ7 ,YJ, LJand tj were not part of that as the fuel tank is right at the rear aswell they had a little thin fuel skid perhaps thats why

Honestly i would build a skid plate that protects the bottom of the tank then i know it would be safe to run

Correction... you would 'guess' it would be safe to run.
It is not certified for gasoline so you cannot 'know' it would be safe.

Well your right it would be an educated guess though.... the gaurd would be thickest metal on the truck too at 5/16 thick

That would be a hefty slab of metal...
My only other thoughts would be venting and if it would set off any warning lights.

I had Aero Tanks build me a tank for my old V8 Jeepster. It was made with a skid plate included. That thing was stout! They only show tanks for diesels on their site but they will make anything custom if you have a drawing of what you want. Lotsa $$ though. I was able to drive up there and pick it up so they helped.

From what I can gather so far the only real challenge with the installation would involve connecting the new tank into the existing EVAP system. The tank materials and hoses are of acceptable material and construction - I am not 100% sure regarding the electric pump being used but sourcing a gasoline specific pump with the same flow rate would not be an issue.

Has anyone else spliced an auxiliary tank into the existing EVAP system that has relevant information to share?
Just t in to a vent line from the existing tank vent lines you can buy the stuff to fix vent lines on amazon and just use them to add the line

IF I could get the Brown Davis tank in the US I would try it.

I personally think the in bed Trekker tanks would be fine...I have the 50 gallon. You connect it to your vent line. I can't see the gasser vent being any different... But don't know for sure. The only concern I would have is the fuel expansion maybe. Maybe the roll over valve wouldn't work with gas .. But I do know Titan would advise against it because of liability issues.

For an update, I recently communicated with them on the possibility to custom make a larger gas tank for the PW, but they regretted advising that they only make the larger tanks for Diesel, hence no further hope, for now at least!

Titan is not at all interested in making a replacement fuel tank for gas engines.

Your only option with them is the 'side kick'
Titan Sidekick 15 gallon

Indeed…That tank wouldn’t make it through it’s first deer/elk hunt without.
The Raptor went through two spares in it’s first 10k miles, oversized tire hanging down much.
Made a thicker road sign-aluminum skid that took a bad beating over the years but no more ripped up spare tires. PW sits higher and tire is smaller, still might get around to some fabbing.
