2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

At the end of the day I saved $4-5k off anyone locally. That is worth frustration in my mind. Plus I get to hang with an old friend who lives in Seattle area. Win win.

I’m definitely going to refinance and make sure they don’t get any kickback from financing. They just used Wells Fargo.
I had them (Bud Clary) arrange the financing on mine, and I got 2.19% for 60 months. That rate was fine with me.
Like you, I had some minor issues when picking up my truck, but I saved several thousand dollars by dealing with them, and would still highly recommend them to others.

Got a text from my salesman yesterday afternoon !! Truck showed up late Wednesday on the car hauler ! Went up last night and dropped off some new tires for it and went over it.. WOW what a nice riding quiet HD truck can't wait to bring her home !! Ordered on St. Patty's day and got it in 7 weeks !! :oops:RamHD.jpg

I've always got my own financing, and told them "this is what I have, can you beat it?" when I purchase.

Plan on doing that with this truck as well.

3500 CC LB Laramie 1 HO. Basically everything but sunroof.

and one of the biggest issues is I told them not to install the front license plate as I didn’t want holes in my painted bumpers. Guess what was installed when I arrived. Another problem with the transaction.
I asked about no holes in the bumper as well but was told they already come with holes in them to mount the plate bracket. Sorry to hear about all your issues, I hope my transaction is smooth as I’m waiting for my truck to arrive. Curious on the interest rate you got as I might secure my own prior incase they can’t get a good rate also. But glad overall your happy with the money you saved.

That was my belief too. I was planning on making a similar request as well, but looking at the OEM parts diagrams, they have the holes in them as well.

The issue with comparing rates and such, is that how one gets their loan rates is so dependent on a slew of metrics. Credit score, debt to income ratio, credit history, etc.

Not to suggest the guy above isn't eligible for great rates, but with how low rates are right now, I don't see good dealerships screwing customers with interest rates unless they found an easy victim or there is a reason the banks aren't willing to give them anything better.

At the end of the day, they do want that business.

For reference when they ran my credit my score was 850. And I have little to no debt. Like I said, everyone will vary.

After several hours of wasted time I got the $1k off. But they didn’t do the truecar coupon or the first responder discount. At that point I was just sick of being there. Plus they ha e me a terrible interest rate on the truck.
Setting up the deal with Phil was awesome and super easy. When I arrived, Phil wasn’t there and I dealt with one of his minions. It took 5 hours to complete the process. Seems excessive when the price has already been agreed to. Then when with the “finance guy” I had to keep correcting his numbers as his were wrong several times. Also, their prices for the “extras” were ridiculous and their interest rate sucked balls.
While the price was good, bring your own financing or cash. Don’t bother with theirs.
Phil stated he could get me the “best rate on the planet.” What a joke.

This is not good. When i ordered with Phillip, I specifically asked about the rates he is able to get with financing based on a FICO of about 750. He said he can get in the low 3% range for 72 or 84 months. Your post has me looking at other banks today or thinking about just biting the bullet and paying cash.

Note to self.... BE SURE PHIL IS THERE when i fly in to pick mine up.

Sorry you had trouble... the truck looks AMAZING though!

For what it's worth the holes are there from the factory. Mine had them and no plate was ordered since I am in Delaware.

Well, you've got the highest credit score one can get, so refinancing that should be quite the cake walk for ya. Depending on term length, you should be able to get 2% +/-.25% with a single phone call, worst case scenario!

Thanks. I ordered Feb 2nd, but am from Canada so maybe next month :)

Picking up mine tomorrow...Phil was not there yesterday and had one of his people working up my financing. Credit score is 817, Phil says no problem he can get in the 2s. His guy yesterday came up with a 5%. Told him that won't cut it. Phil immediately called and said don't worry about it, not a problem he'll handle it. Haven't heard from him yet today but it's early out there. Hope this isn't a sign of how this is going to go tomorrow.

So you are saying I need to hit up Phil?

I think the key takeaway here is get your own financing in place prior to going, regardless. Worst case, you use what you have. Best case they beat it.

The credit ding you'll receive is the same regardless of if you get one pull or twenty. May as well spend an hour or two getting offers, for peace of mind if nothing less.
