...with the cab clearance lights. On my 21 3500, with the headlamp switch set to "auto", the clearance lights are always on with the daytime running lights.

Is this normal?

What are you calling the daytime running lights? I don't have the clearance lights and I am not in Canada but on my 21 3500 even if I have the running lights set to "off" in Controls, and the headlight switch either auto or off, the rectangle lights around the headlights are always on. I think in Canada you probably do not have the setting to turn the running lights off but I am unsure exactly which physical lights are the running lights. I had been calling those rectangles the daytime running lights and wondering why they were always on even the running light "off" box ticked. But I was told yesterday by someone I was out and about with that those are not the daytime running lights. So I am a little confused about my light settings. I did just text someone with clearance lights and ask whether his are on or off when his running lights are on. I will let you know even though he is also not in Canada.

In Canada, there are mandatory daytime headlights on. Not the same as the "decorative" lights.... Usually the low beams are used. But sometimes they are dimmer than the normal low beams output.

And yes, my clearance lights are always on.

Thanks! And I guess that answers my question also. Those rectangle lights that I thought were my daytime running lights are the "decorative" lights and I see no way to turn those off. I know those decorative lights are always on when the truck is running and in park but not sure what happens when put into gear. I will have to enlist someone to watch them and let me know.

Thanks, it's not that I mind them being on, just verifying the function. Thanks man!

So i just got my 2021 last week (Canadian truck) and when my headlamp switch is set to auto all my lights(low beams, tail lights, cab lights) stay on no matter how bright it is outside. My interior lighting is also dimmed when in auto even during the day. This is obviously not right so after doing some googling i found on some other forums that there seems to be a batch of 2021 Canadian spec trucks with this issue. Sounds like its a BCM software issue that FCA is aware of and supposedly working on to fix but it is recommended you bring it to the dealer so they can create a work order and contact Chrysler Canada to put a fire under their butts to get this fixed asap for us.
Im going to start a new thread so that others can find this information.
