Where can I find a good aftermarket remote start for a 2019 3500 diesel. I haven’t been able to find where anyone’s made them yet

Just curious, why do you want aftermarket vice adding factory remote start?

For my 2016, I was looking at aftermarket but decided to add the factory system instead. One of the main reasons is that I didn't want to carry two fobs around.

I know there are benefits to some aftermarket systems, for me it would be feedback and in some cases range. I like the aftermarket fobs that tell/show that the truck is running or locked, etc. On my 2019, with the uconnect app, range isn't really an issue, but from the factory remote it is somewhat
limited.

Edit: The part number according to Mopar for the 2019 Ram 3500 Remote Start complete kit is 82215553. The pictures when you look it up are of the older kits with the old key fobs, but this is a new part number and direct from the Tech Authority parts page.

If you are still going with a Tradesman, you may find you have to go aftermarket. I looked into the factory with my Ttadesman and early on it seemed it wouldn't work as the Tradesman is missing some key parts.

Not sure what they are as I stopped there, and started looking at aftermarket, but in the end just decided it wasn't high on my list.

There are ones that work with your phone, with fobs, all kinds.

Not sure what the tradesman get with this updated Gen, but mine just has a regular metal key with no fob.

If your truck already has the fob, then the factory remote start may work.

Good luck. Lots of options out there, unfortunately I have no other experience to share.

I ordered a tradesman truck. It wasn’t a option. I don’t care if it’s ram or xyz brand. I’m just asking what my options are and what brands work well

It’s not super high up my list, and not something I wanna abuse and let my truck idle for a long time. In the snow I would like 3-5 minute warm up and it’s handy to remote start couple minutes before I walk out vs, trekking thur snow and coming back In the house or setting in cold truck for a few minutes. I’ve never had one personally but my wife’s vehicles do, and it’s nice. Good to be able to the truck running and AC on when I’m out and about with my young children.

It is definitely a nice to have option.

If you choose the factory option and use the part number I listed just make sure you buy from somewhere you can return it. Or maybe have the dealer confirm the part number is compatible with your VIN.

Does this part number work with the keyless push button start? Would love to add this to my truck but haven't since the pics all show the old fobs. Thanks.

I am not sure. It is listed for as an accessory for the truck. I think I might order one and just see what I get. I dint need for my truck so I'll probably just sell it afterwards.

Edit: I ordered that part number. It is supposed to be delivered between Oct 12-14. Once I receive it, I will post pictures of what I actually received.

I was thinking about one other thing related to the remote release of the tailgate. I'm not sure sure if the fob will have that button or not. Do any of you that do not have remote start have the remote tailgate release?

Stopped at my dealer after work today to inquire about the Mopar remote start kit. Gave him my VIN. He looked it up on the computer and said the part was greyed out. So he called what he said was the "factory". Gave the guy on the other end of the phone his dealer code and what not and was put on hold. After a few minutes the guy came back on and told my dealer that the remote start kit was not available for my truck due to some sales code involving the keyless entry. He referred to that as "Keyless Go". Whatever that is. So according to the dealer and the "factory", no OEM remote for me. sigh.

Yep a Tradesman which I guess is why. Truck specs are in my sig line. I thought for sure since dang near everything on these trucks is plug n play it would work. oh well I guess.
