2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

Do those work on orders currently being processed, or do they have to be applied at time of delivery? Is the Ram Owners site the one mentioned a few posts up about the Ram Updates?
Ram owner's site is part of ramtrucks.com, upper right part of screen.

My dealer told me when I ordered 3/17 that any incentives that occurred while I was waiting for the truck would be applied at delivery. He said nothing about taking the incentive away if it expired.

All the dealers I talked to said exactly the opposite.. That only the incentives that could be applied are the current ones at the time of taking delivery.. Seems there's a TON of misinformation and behind the scenes manipulation going on over pricing / incentives / coupons ...

This lays things out pretty well:

Well? Dealer said my truck will be offloaded in Benicia, CA on 5/7 to be trucked to the dealer. The 190 mile trip could take 2-3 weeks according to the dealer. RamChats estimated delivery is 05/10-05/24.

Just got a text from my dealer. Truck should be shipped around 5/12. Should be here by the end of the month. I ordered it at the dealer on 4/04/09. I have the VIN.

n5th Anniversary edition PW in Delmonico red, mono tone, no lower black stripe. Asked for the Power Wagon decals to be delivered with the truck, not installed. I want to place them lower on the door since I don't have the black stripe.
Added the bed group option and tonnaue cover.

So where can I go look up the status of the truck and track it by VIN?

2021 Ram 3500 Mega Cab w/ 6.7 HO and Aisin

Ordered 2/17/21
VIN 2/22/21
Build sheet 3/19/21
Window Sticker 3/25/21
Delivered to Railyard in Roper, Utah 4/13/21
Delivered to Dennis Dillon in Boise, ID 4/28/21

Flew in last weekend and picked it up and drove back to Northern California. Final details on the deal-

MSRP - $83,440
Dennis Dillon Price - $74.244 + TTL and $649 Dealer Fees (More on this below)
Got $1000 Rebate Email from Ram using the website discussed earlier in this thread.
Final Price - $73,893 + TTL

In and out of the dealership in about 3 hours and we were back on the road. Guys at Dennis Dillon were very upfront and helpful through the process. The only stipulation to receive the large discount was to only put down 20% of purchase price up to a max of $10,000. Financing through their bank gave you an additional $2,000 off the purchase price which got me to the $74,244 above. They say that you have to keep the loan for 6 months to get the discount, but looking at my loan documents there is no prepayment penalty so I don't see how that is true. Probably just a sales tactic to make sure they get the full kickback from the bank. Not sure if I will wait the 6 months or refinance before. They treated me really well. Might keep the financing for the first six months then refi through local credit union. They also did say that due to the semiconductor shortages and the crazy HD pickup market right now they are not offering as good of deals as when I placed my order but hopefully this helps some of you out there!

2021 Ram 3500 w/ HO and Aisin in my option has much better shifting and acceleration than the 2020 I test drove on the lot. That was my main concern when I went to order was that while Ram interior was much much nicer than Ford, the Powerstroke had extremely fast acceleration and was fun to drive. Ultimately decided on the Ram and I am happy I did, the inside is amazing and the acceleration and power of the HO Cummins is way better than I expected after test driving a 2020. Plus its a diesel truck not a sports car so while it still isn't as fast as the Ford it is definitely fast enough to make it fun to drive.

The Story about keeping the loan for 6 months is partially true. It has nothing to do with simple interest. If you read in to the dealer's contract(not the bank contract) you will see what they are talking about . Where I live it's 3 months and what happens is the Dealer will get charged back some money if you pay off the contract prior to that designated time.

Mine got offloaded this morning in Benicia! I certainly hope it doesn't take 2-3 weeks more time! I don't want to have to reschedule my DMV appointment AGAIN.

I'm jealous, RAM won't send me a damn thing.
When I signed up for updates I used different emails because the first 2 I used originally didn't get any response when tried again. So you might try using a different email or even your wife's name and email signing up for updates on the ram trucks.com website and see if you get anything. I tried 3 new email addresses I had and got the $1000 bonus cash on both of them. Also did you sign up for the truecar $500 incentive ?

That's a good idea with the decals! Kinda wish I thought about that. Though, I may just remove them entirely once it arrives.
You can't track your truck by VIN, unfortunately. Gotta talk to the dealer for updates.

Yes that is true with my dealer also and that's why I just divided the total principal up over 6 months of payments and paid it off. Obviously everyone can't do this but for me it worked and only ended up being $370 in interest if I remember correctly.

Wonder why your doc fee was $649 ? I have bought a jeep and 3 trucks from them and it has always been $349 but that was In Caldwell not Boise so maybe there other dealership's are higher

Got a call from Phillip Olson this afternoon. Truck is at the dealership. Still working on details of a possible tire swap, and possibly fly out Saturday to pick up vs shipping. Shipping quotes have doubled since I ordered the truck.

This is great info, thank you for sharing. All sounds very nice, my only question is if they make you take their financing, what was the rate? Competitive with the market hopefully?

NICE! Please post your timeline so we have an idea on how long between each status.

When did your truck ship from the factory?

4.5% so not the worst but not a competitive rate. Local credit union where I live is at 2.75%

4.5 isnt horrible if it's long term like 84 mo. 4.5 for 60 would not be good lol.

Yep.. keep it for a few months then refi! Sounds like you got a great deal--VERY similar to what a lot of us got with Phillip Olson at Bud Clary in WA.

I wanted a solid color from the start, but didnt want black. When I read on here that the dealer could order it that way, I asked and got it.
Then I thought, the power wagon logo on the door will be up high and look funny with no black stripe. So I asked if I could get them in hand instead. We will see when I pick it up. Fingers crossed.

Can you post back some details on the tire situation? I've been considering doing something, but haven't got around to asking him yet.
