Hi Guys! New diesel owner and was curious to know if anyone has done a aftermarket exhaust system such as these:

Would love everyone's thoughts, opinions on sound, increase in HP etc. Any info would be useful. Thanks :-)

Waste of money. No hp increase, no sound increase wirh all the emissions equipment still intact.

I appreciate that feedback. I talked to an muffler shop guy I've used for years and he had never installed one on these new diesels either so he had no opinion on how good they are. I'm in CA too, so with our wacky emissions I thought it best to run it by everyone here.

I'm not going to tune at this time so I don't void the warranty, so basically I'm looking for any performance gains is why I'm asking about these things.

Since I'm getting all sorts of good replies, How do you guys feel about a CAI? Mainly this one:

Consensus is CAI is a waste of money as well unless you are looking for more audible turbo whistle.

I have that CAI on my truck and the only noticeable difference is more turbo whistle and more exhaust brake growl. Don’t expect to notice any difference in performance or mpg.

Some that have changed the airbox have had issues with the MAF sensor creating a fault and CEL.

How they can charge $500 for an aluminized 6' piece of tail pipe and a tip is beyond me. Amazing.

And no... like they said, dont bother.
