Wife went and picked up my new Ram 2500 yesterday. Got the Longhorn package in a LWB. Unfortunately this one didn't come with the OEM gooseneck prep package in it, so I will have to install that when I get back home (work offshore). Does anyone here know how much difference there is installing the gooseneck prep in a LWB vs a SWB?

Welcome. Great looking truck.

There shouldn't be any difference in price between the LWB and SWB kit. They are the same. But if you are getting it done at a dealership, I am sure they will charge for the 2 extra bolts they got to loosen

Thanks for joining us!

I feel you are likely correct there. I will probably install it myself though. Looked on a couple OEM websites, and didn't see where I could select long bed, so I was a bit worried about ordering the correct one. Thanks!

I haven't done the install but I plan too. The hardest part is getting the bed bolts out to raise the one side(for me anyways mine is a 2015) and the most technical part is drilling the bed holes.

Lots of YouTube videos on it lol

Yes sir, I am a bit of a YouTube aficionado. My '17 had it already in there, but a nice lady in a Toyota Corolla decided she didn't need to stop at a red light and found my winch bumper. Unfortunately the bumper is connected to the frame directly, so it bent pretty good. :(

Would have sold you my 2500 while waiting for my 3500.

I was looking for a 3500, but didn't want to wait for a special order. All the ones I found we Tradesmans and a few lower Laramie's. Really wanted a bucket list truck this time. Also wanted a long bed. Guess I am finally an old man... Nice ride bud!
