2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

This is my experience:
- ordered 03/08/2021, RAM 3500, 6.7 dsl, mega cab, air suspension
- D1 status: 03/22
- vin thru cripto stickers website: 04/04, truck at body vendor
- in transit: 04/12
- ETA at dealer: end April, beginning May
- actual arrival dealer: 04/20
- total time from order to delivery: just over 6 weeks.

A shout out to Mark Dodge of Lake Charles, particularly Angelo Picornell - sales (333-224-2428) and Aaron Ginsburgh - sales mngr. And thanks to Hogfan who posted the reference in Februari.
Impressive. I hope we all have your luck. ;)

When did you order?
Some good news , dealer called today to let me know my truck has been shipped , confirming it was built as ordered and is expected to be in Concord ON May 12th.
Wow, so 5-6 months for Canadian Orders. Glad it's on its way for you. That puts my order pretty much around where I thought - late August / Early September delivery (ordered 2/27 from Calgary AB, Canada). I'm starting to think that Canadian trucks must be held in D status until there is a certain volume to be built, and they all move to D1 in batches with other CAN spec trucks, which would make sense from a factory operations POV.

Its a pile of ******** is what it is. 6 months for a factory order when us trucks are built and delivered in 8 weeks.

I completely agree. Its sure is frustrating reading about all the US customers getting their trucks quickly, while we wait and wait.... and wait.

The biggest issue I have is the depreciation factor - we wait 6 months for a 2021 model, and by the time we get it, the 2022 model is released so we lose a whole pile more $$$. Total BS.

3 months today since I placed my order..... still sitting in D1 purgatory. Dealer claims to be just as helpless as me, the only thing he could do was mention it to his "zone rep". Gee, thanks.

So now I've taken to annoying Ram customer service.

Reply from 4/14: "At this present time, your vehicle is sequenced for production with all the parts necessary to begin building your order being scheduled or gathered. I have reached out to our factory resources to ensure your order is prioritized for production as well as to gather an estimated production plan timing. I hope to have additional news and updates to share with you soon."

Reply from 4/21: "Currently all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process very soon. Due to the time your vehicle has spent in this status we will work with our logistic resources to ensure your vehicle order is expedited and prioritized."

Basically the same canned or BS answers as Ram chat.

I've asked my dealer for my refund back, we'll see how that plays out.

That is unacceptable really. I am in the same situation as you - dealer has my $3k deposit and now us as consumers sit here and wait and have nothing to do but accept this miserable excuse for customer service..... the whole industry needs a shake up - dealers too. Im sick of hearing Covid excuses!! Like yeah ok, but not my problem! Why accept orders if you can't fulfill them in a reasonable time.

... Buying a vehicle should be an enjoyable and exciting process, not a painful frustrating one.

Well it looks like my 3+ month wait is almost over ! My truck ordered on 1-10-21 was built in march then stuck at the body vendor for over 3 weeks . Finally shipped on the rail car to roper utah . The dealer thought from there it would be a few days before a truck brought it the rest of it journey to idaho , Nope wrong again now its been in roper for over two weeks. Got the news today its finally headed on a truck to the dealer, now i just hope it comes with everything i ordered on it and not damaged ! Hopefully by this weekend i will pick it up.

$1900 for Crystal serum ultra ceramic coating 9yr warranty, 5% tinted windows and ppf protection on front bumper and rear bump
I would take that deal. My prices are $1200-$1600 for coating, about $2k for PPF and tint is extra.

anyone ever use System X Diamond ? lifetime warranty I was quoted $1200 -$1600 for paint correction and the System X Diamond .

Cost is huge. The other issue with ceramic for me is they say no car washes, as in auto or whatever. Between the brushes, octopus cloths and high pH products used I was told I'm washing my money down the pit. I live where there is a chain wash joint that also gives a substantial fuel discount for members. We get fuel and vehicles washed weekly. I don't have the means to wash the truck at the house all the time, especially in the winter months and like a clean ride.

Mine is similar the coating itself is $1400 then $299 for tints and $250 per piece of ppf applied. I'm also getting a 15% discount because I'm doing all 3 at once.

My truck has been sitting in Roper Utah since 4/13 waiting to make the 5 hour trip north to Idaho to the dealer. Very frustrating. Of course dealer says they have no control on how quickly the truck gets picked up. Said it could be up to a few weeks from when it lands at the rail yard.

I also ordered a set for my dually that I ordered. This is my third set of Duraflaps. I believe they are 14”. Here’s what they wrote...
Welcome back and thank you for order.

The DR20L 10 is the mud flap for the rear of your stock truck, and the DF12L 13/14 is the usual selection for the front. You can review these mud flaps on the following page: https://duraflap.com/truck-model/dodge/duallys-dodge/2013-current-3500-dually/.

These are a drill-less installation, which means you do not drill any holes in your truck to install them. You do not need to remove your tires for installation, and they hang straight and centered to your tires.

They are designed to hang about 15" below the truck in the back and 12" below the truck in the front to give maximum protection for your trailer but leave room to avoid backing into the normal curb or parking guard. We do have shorter mud flaps for the front if you are concerned with being too close to the ground. We also have wider (14") mud flaps for the front for those looking for maximum protection or those with tires more than 11.5" wide. If you do have aftermarket wheels, tires or flares let us know right away.

If you have the optional hard plastic rear fender well liner you will have to either remove it or cut holes in it to attach the rear mud flaps. If you have the self-leveler system you may want to measure the distance below your truck to the ground to make sure these will be at least 6" off the ground to avoid backing up and pinching them between a curb and the tire. If these are too long we do have our shorter 2 wheel drive mud flaps that hang 12: below the truck.

It sounds like you may have that optional aftermarket liner. If so, you can either cut a hole in the liner to get to where the flat clip grabs the factory liner behind it. Or you can just drill a hole in the liner and use the bolt, nut washer without the flat clip. Hopefully the description of your truck that says fender well liner is only talking about the factory liner. Then none of this is an issue.

Our mud flaps are made from the finest quality materials available and are designed not to tear, peel, fade, rust or break. They are made from a 3/8" polyethylene/rubber blend; with anti-sail and anti-spray capabilities.

I have attached install directions and some photos for you to review.

Call them (541)245-9148
Thank you very much

As an update.
Just heard from dealer.

Ordered in campbellford Ontario February 26th.

Factory rep is saying mid to late June for arrival.
Still in d status. Pushing hard on the dealer to push the factory rep.

I’m in the US and I’m on week 14. Been at Body Vendor since 4/6 with no change in status. At this point, dealer things maybe June. Will definitely be 16 weeks minimum

I ordered 2/23, dealer was very upfront and said figure at least 20 weeks. Last week truck still had no status change on the build (have VIN and VON, with 5/2 line date) and his fingers were crossed for an early July delivery to him.
