Putting the 1000ft lbs to work

Did you tow enough miles to get a feel for MPG??? Also, starting to read complaints that they use A LOT more DEF than before, if you took notice.

Haven't towed further then a few miles to fill the boat up yet. Will get back to you next week because we will be towing a couple hundred miles this weekend. I have noticed the instant mileage on the dash will show around 22 mpg empty where our same spec 2018 will show 26-27 on the same road. This hasn't been hand calculated yet though so we will see where it ends up after a few tanks and breaks in more. Not sure on DEF yet either.

My 19 HO uses a noticeable amount more DEF than my 17 HO. I get a solid 10 mpg towing this beast. On a trip from central Florida to North Carolina I averaged 10.5 mpg. Trailer weight 16k to 17k pounds.

Similar setup for me with our Fuzion toy hauler. My initial tow will be to Talladega in a few weeks from Tampa area. Good info.

I tow a 45' Momentum 398m and roughly 19,500#. Average with good size hills is 6.6mpg fully loaded(going from PHX to say Williams AZ). I do have the 4.10 though.

I also have the 4.10 gears. How did it pull through the mountains?

Is that running up I-17 to Flag, or 89 to Ash Fork? I am hoping for better mpg than that, even pulling heavy.
