Can the AUX switches be added after you took the possession of your truck with a 12" screen?
I wanted AUX but didn't order my truck with them as I read somewhere someone mentioned the AUX switches with a 12" Uconnect would take away some other buttons and replace them with software buttons on Uconnect. I didn't want any of that to happen but now thinking it's a BS as I've seen pictures of the interiors with 12" screen and all the buttons I have AND the row of AUX buttons.
So can the AUX switches and buttons be added now?

Long conversation over here... short answer is yes, longer answer is yes, but with difficulties as it is not simply 'plug/play.

Not an electrical guy by any means, but I suppose you could get the OEM Aux switches and wired up your own PDC, no?

you have to wire the switches to the fuse box, mirroring what the factory does. it took me a couple hrs. it's do-able, but is a bit of a pain.

So... I guess I'm confused between the PDC and the Fuse Panel... I'll have to sit and re-read that long ass thread again...

Don't have time to read any long threads now (will definitely read later) , the quick question I have is, do I have to sacrifice any of the physical buttons to install AUX switches?

No, It replaces the lower panel and ADDS the Aux switches below the factory switches. It's specific depending on model, trim, options. You need a VIN from a truck with the same options PLUS the Aux switches.

There's a main pdc on every truck in front of the battery.

Diesel trucks and/or those with Aux switches have the aux pdc.

The aux pdc on diesel trucks can be wired, those without are better off with an aftermarket pdc.

Thanks... I guess that is what I meant. Just get the OEM switches and just add your own PDC... just seems easier all around (unless I'm totally wrong, which happens).
