Power Wagon delays

I placed an order at the beginning of April for a Olive Green Power wagon 75A.
When I placed the order there were no restrictions and I was able to get a good order in b status thats been approved and been through the various B status changes.

my build entailed the following.
75th anniversary edition
Bed utility group
Power sunroof
Tonneau cover
Lower two tone paint

So I spoke with the dealer today and they told me the following , the tonneau is on restriction, if I remove it then it would speed things up, no problem I wanted a hard tonneau anyway, going to get a flush mount one through the dealer.

Deleted the Tonneau.

The second issue, lower two tone paint is on restriction and any vehicle not in a D status as of today will not be touched until June. All of may is a write off.

This is partly a heads up thread but its mostly a “do I delete the two tone paint “ thread.

If I delete the two tone option it can speed things up considerably, since its already determined all of may it wont change status.

Does anyone have pictures of their monotone wagon, maybe even the sick olive green colour?

What would you do

I ordered my Granite Crystal Metallic as a monotone. I just preferred it over the two tone and wanted something a bit different.
I'm not sure why black paint on the bottom of the rockers would delay a build. I haven't heard of a problem with the paint pigments.

Looks good buddy. I appreciate the response I dont want to lose a month and 10 days of valuable build time.

side question how did you get running boards and the 75th package?

I took off the skinny slider/steps and sold them. I had bought a set of the regular steps/running boards from a guy that was selling his PW. It is MUCH easier to get in and out of the truck, especially for my short wife.

Ah. Good deal.
Keep the wife happy.
And in regards to the two tone delaying yeah im not sure the issue there.

My order is in and its a good order, but definitely the two tone paint is an issue right now. My dealer has an email from Chrysler stating any orders with two tone paint wont change status and will sit until June.

My immediate worry is they wont build my 75A, it gets switched to a 2022 etc.

I guess I wait and see. I like the look of the two tone better , with the Olive Green.

Sorry to hear your delayed. Seems to be somewhat of a crap shoot. I too factory ordered a power wagon 75a in the first part of April With two tone (no tonneau cover). It is in production, slated to ship May 5th. Hope yours builds soon.

Really? That seems oddly quick. Even without a pandemic.

2500s are taking 4-5 months I was told. And that info was from chrysler not a dealer.

I agree. The expected ship date was provided by the dealer. An email from US Customer Care provided an estimated delivery to the dealer on the week of 6/12/2021. Given all that I have read this does seem fast. We will see...but not holding my breath.

My Granite Crystal Metallic 75A arrived late last week at my dealer. It is 2 tone. I'm picking it up in 10 hours.

Ordered January 25th, 2021.

Congratulations! So roughly three months from time of order.

I would hold out and get exactly what you want. With all the delays I have read about over the past 6+ months I guarantee you another one will pop up even if you delete the 2 tone paint. You are paying a pretty penny I am sure, don't compromise on what you really wanted.

.

Agree MtnRider....get what you want. I did...just picked it up. And it fits in the garage....! 7 foot doors (actually 82.5 inches). I had 1 inch to spare.

Get what you want and pay for....especially with how expensive these trucks are.

Yeah Im keeping the two tone paint, it makes it for me . Especially with the olive green colour.

I will wait my turn.

Finally talked to my salesman today to finalize my order. I had asked about getting rid of the 2 tone on my delmonico red PW. That was before I saw this thread. He said yes, he will do it. Glad I did if there is a delay. Hes checking if there is also a delay because of the tri fold tonneau cover. I told him if it was, then delete it and I'll get one elsewhere.

Let me know how it progresses (statuses) and what you find out.

Update
I spoke to a buddy at a Chrysler dealer. He told me conflicting info on the delays.

he said , “bud there is no restriction on two tone paint “ . Not on the 2500’s anyway. The only restrictions as of today are : Blind spot monitoring - Lane depart . Anvil , go mango colours and the bed assist step.

well go figure the bed assist step is apart of the bed utility group that I ordered.

So I called up my dealer , told him the info and asked the sales manager about it . He apologized and said he misread the notice , the two tone paint restriction is on the Rebel.

He also confirmed what my buddy said the assist step is on restriction and perhaps whats holding up my build.

I removed the bed utility group hopefully this gets the ball rolling here.

That's not good news.
I did have my dealer do the mono tone for my delmonico red paint, but more because that's what I wanted. Also asked to have the power wagon decals delivered with the truck and I will put them on. That way I can put them lower where the black tone was. 75th annavisary edition.
But like you, I also added the bed group with the step which I want. Hmm!

I got mono paint, bed Utility Group, and safety group on my order, and it seems to be proceeding pretty well. Got my build sheet today, with my order submitted on 4/5.

I would look into this , from day one I was told if you order blind spot which I think comes with the safety group expect a long wait . May even get pushed to a 2022.
The option is greyed out on the dealer screen now.

The other thing was bed utility adds 3 weeks because it gets shipped to a different location to get those items put on. Originally I was ok with that.
Now these bed steps are going to hold up the build.

I said the hell with it, took that package off added LED bed lights and the dealer is going to Line x when it arrives. The only thing I wont have is that step.
