2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

I ordered on 2/27 a 2021 ram 2500 ccsb 6.7 Cummins laramie patriot blue night edition level 1 package sunroof bsm 12" uconnect and etc. I live in Pittsburgh and was told by my dealer the truck should be here next week. I received a build sheet and window sticker already.
 
Ordered 02/10/21 in MN: 2021 3500 Limited SB CC SRW HO NE P.Blue 5th TTPMS Air Susp everything else.
Status: 02/17/21 - "D" and POC shows VIN and VON #'s.
Status: 02/24/21 Dealer says: "D1"
Status: 03/22/21 Dealer says "KZ" status. Build Sheet/Equipment Listing is populated.
Status: 03/23/21 Window Sticker is populated. 3/24/21 Towing Capacity by VIN shows #'s now.

~4/5/21 Dealer says location is KS.

4/14/21 Dealer say location is IL ( Logistics Yard? ) :) Getting closer! :cool:

Update from Dealer:
Ordered 1/19, 3500 Limited, SO, SRW, loaded (minus sunroof & ram box)
On a train in Oregon, on it's way to Kent, Wa. Hopefully, the barge/ship is ready to set sail to Alaska!

Well I'll be dipped! I got an email from my salesman. The truck arrived in Chicago today. He stated they were going to call to facilitate an expedited transport. He going to call me with an update tomorrow. Shocked I am....and getting excited.

No window sticker yet, but RAMCHAT said April 29th hopefully leaving the factory on rail.

I’m in somewhat same boat. Just before Easter dealer told me truck had been built and was going to vendor for spray in liner and steps. Few days ago he said it had shipped but was still in Mexico. I haven’t been able to pull window sticker. Talked to Ram Care and they said was JB with vendor. Then talked to dealer and he assures me it’s in KZ status and is just waiting to come over the border - then will be easier to track. Ram Care and sticker seem to be behind reality at this point. You would think they would have same info as dealer..... they really are just creating more confusion. at this point.
 
My truck arrived at the dealership yesterday, 1 day shy of 8 weeks after I placed the order. I won't be able to get it for a couple more weeks because I purchased our plane tickets in advance, when I could get them cheap.

Hopefully mine is on same train..heard rumor longshoreman are on strike in Washington

Haha no doubt. Things are going too well, dont want to mess it up.

Well congrats man, that is exciting.

All i can think about is my damn truck. It's driving me crazy... and to think i wont see it until June or July, best case scenario. UGH!
 
I just created an account to basically vent and complain about my order's delay.

I ordered a 2500 Laramie crew cab 4x4 with 8' bed, gas V8, and all the options like the auto-leveling air suspension, 50-gallon tank, top electronics/sound group, top safety/equipment packages, etc.
Placed the order in early January 2021, was supposed to be here before March. Well 14 weeks later, it's still not built.
Dealer said it would be built in RAM's Mexico factory, I believe that's at Saltillo, Coahuila.

Well, first the factory was shut down for a while because of Covid.
Then of course the worldwide computer chip shortage hit as everyone switched to manufacturing chips for laptops for everyone working or taking classes from home.
Then the dealer called me last week and said the cartel has been shutting down the roads so they've been having difficulties getting supplies to the factory, and trucks out of it.
I thought the dealer was joking... he wasn't!!

So, ordered a $75,000 truck in January, and no guarantee it will be here before June. Currently renting a work truck till it gets here.

At least some of you are getting your orders in. Hopefully, that means the supply chain and logistics are starting to rebound.

Same boat man, I feel ya... Ordered Jan. 16, radio silent since. Dealer says it's supposed to ship Apr. 24ish, not holding my breath.
 
Just an update in case anyone wants to look at the timeline in my signature for comparison. Truck just arrived today at the dealer. Plan to pick it up early next week. I was lucky and got in under the wire in January so it has all the stuff that is now being impacted by the chip shortage.
