Who has upgraded there 2500 suspension with either the Carlie or Thuren front spring and Fox shock upgrade and if so, has it really made THAT much of a difference???
I don't see the front being too bad, but then again, I have nothing to compare it to.

Has anyone used any other shocks front/back other than Fox and been happy with their choice?

I've always like seeing a night and day swing when I make changes, so, between the Thuren or the CJC Offroad (which I believe they sell the same packages), upgrade and new (I think...Cooper) tires, getting rid of the Firestones.......their should be a noticable difference.

I don't see that the track bar will add as much as doing my initial changes.

Anything other changes to aid in a nicer riding truck?
Ps.....if I drop the pressure 20 lbs on my rear tires, won't that make the truck TPMS mad??

Get your dealer to change the tpms settings to a lower psi. I am getting that done today. You just have to remember to air them up when towing.

I went with the Thuren Overland kit as I was too impatient to wait on either Fox or King shocks. I will eventually upgrade again, but knew that going in.

The new springs are definitely night and day.

The track bar isn't going to impact your ride, it'll simply allow you to re-center the axle. The Thuren sway bar on the other hand was a huge improvement. Not so much when you're going straight and hitting dips/bumps with both wheels at the same time, but whenever hitting anything on an angle, or just one wheel, it prevents you from getting thrown side to side.

I don't believe changing the tires alone will impact ride quality. If you move down from 20" to a smaller wheel (17 or 18), and/or go up to a 35 or 37, absolutely. But sticking with the same size tires on the same wheels is going to be the least bang for your buck specifically in terms of the ride. They'll surely get you more traction when you're off the pavement though.

As for the TPMS - some folks have mentioned that they've successfully circumvented the warning by simply enabling Tire Fill Assist and then lowering the threshold. I wasn't so lucky, so made that change using AlfaOBD, but there are a few other options as well (Tazer, ProCal, etc...). 20 seems way too low in my opinion unless you're offroading. I prefer 40/45 when I'm not towing.

Thuren coils in front, sway bar and fox 2.0 all around here, a world of difference. Rides so much better and enjoyable to drive. If my wife noticed right off it must be better trust me on that.

What truck a 2500 or 3500?

Razzman, Thuren coils up front, THUREN SWAY BAR up front also......and 2.0 Fix at the corners.
Thanks Sir

3" carli fronts
2.5" pure perfirmance rears
rough country trac bars
bilstein 51xx shocks all around

great ride,, improvement over stock.

Just a slight correction: CJC Offroad is a retailer who sells both Thuren and Carli products. You can't go wrong with either manufacturer (Carli or Thuren).

Carli 3" front springs and 1" rear springs and torsion sway bar. King 3" shocks. The ride is night and day over stock both on road and off. Well worth the money spent for me. I had 2.5" Fox on my previous truck and they were good too. Both Carli and Thuren spend a lot of time with R&D to get it right.

Thanks Dave.....getting it all straight in my head.

You bet! Carli and CJC work pretty closely together it seems on stuff, easy to confuse.

Budget and goals will play a big part in it.

The track bar will get your axle back centered under the truck.

On the market too, how about this set:

Front: Thuren Front 1 inch lift coil
Fox PERFORMANCE SERIES 2.0 SMOOTH BODY RESERVOIR SHOCK - 985-24-098
Rear: PERFORMANCE SERIES 2.0 SMOOTH BODY IFP SHOCK - 985-24-169

Already upgrade the Thuren Sway Bar.

Why not just get the fox shocks tuned to your new springs?

Those come without RESERVOIRs.
Pretty sure you will never notice a difference but they do have them with the reservoirs too.

Thanks, but mine is 2500

"NOTE: This front kit fits the 2014+ 2500 also, but there is no option for matching rear remote reservoir shocks. Choose the Fox 2.0 IFP for the rear if you have a 2014+ 2500 or Power Wagon as the valving design will match these very well."
